Barcelona vs. VfB Stuttgart
Overall, it has been a fairly disappointing Champions League season so far for the Spanish giants by their own high standards.
From their 7 matches, they have won only 3 times this season in the competition. The Catalan side however, have been in flying form at home recently winning 11 from their last 13. So much is expected of them from last season and the talent they have on the pitch but they are dealing with the pressure well and of course are joint top with Real Madrid at the top of La Liga. Leo Messi has been in amazing form, even for him recently, and has scored Barça’s last 6 goals, (1 against Malaga, 2 against Almeria and 3 against Valencia). He will be the key to Barcelona turning around a poor first leg result.
Stuttgart can be proud of their Champions League record this season. They have only lost the once from 9 games played so far- which was at home to Sevilla. However, currently sitting ninth in Bundesliga 1 (much thanks to the poor start under former manager Markus Babel), Christian Gross’ side have been in top form, losing only twice from their last 14. Schalke ended a run of 4 games unbeaten last Friday but Stuttgart can be proud of the way they took the game to the Gelsenkirchen side.
I think that although many people are writing Stuttgart off, it wont be as easy for Barcelona as one would think. They are a well organised side and have strong attacking players. The odds are in heavy favour for Barcelona which will only add further pressure on the home side, who will more than likely come away with the result they need regardless. Key to this will of course be Leo Messi who could carry on his good scoring form.
FC Barcelona @ 1.26
FC Barcelona 3-1 VfB Stuttgart @ 12
Both teams to score @ 2
Messi to score 2 or more goals @ 3.5
Bordeaux vs. Olympiakos
Laurent Blanc’s Bordeuax have performed so well so far in this years Champions League, remaining unbeaten in their group and finishing ahead of the hotly favoured Juventus and Bayern Munich. They are on a 6 game winning streak in this competition and will very much fancy their chances on increasing their aggregate lead from 1-0 in Piraeus. Something they will need to do is keep a clean sheet, something they haven't managed to do in their last 4 games at Stade Jacques Chaban-Delmas.
Despite being top of Ligue 1, Bordeaux are making it difficult for themselves; they have only won once in their last 6 league matches.
If Olympiakos are given the space to play and score a vital away goal then they will be in with a chance. However, like Bordeaux, they are currently on a bit of a bad run. Just 1 win in the last 4 Super League games has seen them slip down to third behind Panathinakos and PAOK and the Erythrolefki are without an away win in the Champions League (exlucding qualifies) since November 2007. The Greeks have many of their key players out injured; among them are Dudu, Diogo, Jesus Datolo and Didier Domi.
Bordeaux are a strong side and key players like Wendel, Chamakh and Gouffran will need to be strong in order for the side to avoid complacency, but I think they should have enough to see off Olympiakos.
Bordeaux @ 1.57
Bordeaux –1 @ 2
Bordeaux to win to nil @ 2.5 _________________ My Czech Republic Betting Blog

Bordeaux vs Olympiakos...: Bordeaux win ! ( 1.56 Bet365)
I think Bordeaux will win tonight regarding their 1-0 win in Athens a fortnight ago. Olympiakos will have to take risks but theyve proven in the first leg that theyre by far the weakest team left in the Champions League and I cant for the life of me see how they can get a result in Bordeaux.
The Girondins are far from great at the moment but they have always delivered since the start of the competiton by winning 6 of their seven games...i.e..: only a draw in Turin against Juventus and winning both games against Bayern Munich and Maccabi Haifa. Bordeaux drew in Monaco at the weekend with three main players on the bench untill a quarter of an hour from the end and then showed how superior they were to the home side while Olympiakos drew home to Giannina who are one of the bottom sides of the greek league 2-2 showing how clumsy they are at the back by scoring two own goals...
No problems for Bordeaux in this one in my opinion and I find the odds of 1.57 even a little too high regarding the difference in class.
Newcastle vs Scunthorpe...: Newcastle win ! ( 1.33 Bet365 )
No surprises here...! Leaders Newcastle take on 22nd place Scunthorpe in a game that looks to be only one way. The home side have scored 21 goals in their last five games when playing on their home turf beating successively Barnsley 6-1...Preston 3-0...Coventry 4-1...Cardiff 5-1...Crystal Palace 2-0 and I can't see Scunthorpe who are facing relegation prospects putting up much of a fight. They have one of the worst away records in the championship with 3-3-12 and have conceeded a LOT of goals (10 in their last 4 away). |

now then lads...........
Good write ups on tonights games so I wont add anything to them other than the treble is 2.39 on Betfair.
I also agree that bordeaux are probably slightly overpriced and barcelona are underpriced so that kinda evens itself up. |

| Bordeaux vs Olympiakos= Goal line over 2-2.5 @ 1.90 Bet 365.Bordeaux go into this leg with a one nil lead(away goal) so onlympiakos will come out of the blocks flying, chasing the game and think they will hit the back of the net but this will leave them wide open for the bordaux counter.I fully expect both teams to score and 3 or more goals seems quite possible. |

Its quite clear that Laurent Blanc wants the Champions League badly and this showed in his team selection against Monaco - Olympiakos have several players doubtful or injured and there doesn't appear to be any reason why Bordeaux should not win-All the odds priced up by the bookies show this. The odds I like is HT/FT-Bordeaux/Bordeaux@2.5
Laurent Blanc will probably tell his team to finish off Olympikos quickly - so they don't have to waste any energy during the game-the best Olympiakos can hope for is to sneak a goal then sit back and wait for extra time and penalties _________________ research , be lucky and enjoy |

I like the look of the finish league cup. last two times these sides met in the league honka won by a marin of 2 as the away team and finished last season with a goal difference of 36 and 2nd place compared to mypa gd of 2 and 9th. honka also beat mypa by 1 goal as the away team last two years and I think evens on Betfair could be a good one starts in an hour though no inplay |

Ok Lads
Got A 4-Fold With A Add On.
Right We All Know That Barcelona, Bordeux and Newcastle Are All Odds On
Therefore Ive Decided To Bulk Up The Odds By Adding Total Match Goals To The Barcelona and Newcastle Games My Bet Slip Looks Like This
Barcelona Win And Over 2.5 Goals
Newcastle Win And Over 2.5 Goals
Bordeaux
Grasshoppers
Now That Brings A Healthy 6/1
Decided To Add Grasshoppers Because They Are In Superb Form And It Bulks Up The Odds
Also I Have A Dilemer!
I'm Pondering The Idea Of Adding Bristol Rovers To It Which Brings It To 19/1, What Does Everyone Think? Bristol Are Going Ok They Won There Last Away Match 4-0 Then Drew At Home On Saturday. I'm Very Tempted.
Cheers For Reading Lads And Good Luck On Your Bets! |

| Wouldn't add too many games as more often than not at least one game gets a freak result. I believe your two +2.5 goals aren't bad bets at all as I believe Newcastle looking at the amount of goals they're scoring at the moment and FC Barcelona who will relish the fact that their opponents are going to have to take risks, therefore leaving themselves very vulnerable at the back have a good chance of scoring a lot of goals. |

Grasshopper Zürich vs. FC Sion
The Stadion Letzigrund has been a happy home for Grasshopper recently as they are looking to make it 6 wins from 6 home matches when they entertain FC Sion, who last won an away game in September. Since the start of 2010, Grasshopper have won 3 and lost 1 – including an impressive win in Basel.
For FC Sion, it is different. Although winning against Belinzona last Wednesday, Young Boys outplayed them at the weekend but only managed to win 1-0 late on making it 3 defeats from Sion’s last 3 away games. Such is the tightness of the mid-table of Switzerland that a win for Sion would see them climb above 3 teams and end up a point behind Grasshopper.
Twice already this season Grasshopper have defeated Sion and given their latest form, the Zurich club should be ready to take another 3 points to steer them into third.
Grasshopper @ 1.7 _________________ My Czech Republic Betting Blog
