|
|
This is real money and we currently have £2261.75 in the OLBG betting fund.
As the season has progressed the debate has become better, more informed, sensible and inciteful. Well done everyone. Some results have not gone for us and we have lost money, but lets finish with some wins and claw some money back.
We now have 4 categorys. This thread is for the A/H discussion and poll. Please add your reasoned posts and vote on which match we should go for in this category as our choice.
Remember our funds are growing and to work out the downside as well as the potential profit.
Stage 3 Thursday/Friday
Then for the final decision thread. We will be having a poll
Stage 4 Friday
We then poll for the stake with lots of options (in units of 100) and take the weighted average of all votes rounded to the nearest £50. |

Only gonna consider the 3 over evens again.
Tottenham is very risky as who knows how they will perform and Bolton have suddenly started scrapping a little.
Newcastle is possible but a close call.
My vote goes to Man City as I think Fulham have given up and Man City can always score goals at home. _________________ AVFC - PROUD HISTORY, BRIGHT FUTURE

I fully agree with john mac post. Only difference I see a draw as the most probable Newcastle result.
So I vote for Man City v Fulham- Man City-1@2.75
If you vote please post your reasons (or at least if you have little time which posts/arguments you agree with )
good luck _________________ tipstonga

Of the choices available (and discounting matches I've already selected bets from), my vote goes with Tottenham v Bolton : Tottenham -1 @ 2.63.
I don't see Bolton getting anywhere near Spurs in this game. So I'm hoping the Bolton keeper doesn't have another blinding game... _________________ "There's no such thing as a grown-up. I went for the MANC -1 AH. It's odds are better than MANC to win so this is defiantely better IMHO. _________________ Now making money isn't everything but havin it is. |

Bet of the week for me here is newcatle +0.25 goals
This bet gives us newcastle and the draw
newcastle are in good form at the moment and have a personal goal of not having a record low season.
owen is in great form getting 6 in 6 and also with viduka and martins up there with him could be dangours for west ham who havnt been 100% confidant at the back this season and more noteable there run of 3 game 4-0 losses in a row.
West ham are trying new players and although they did the job on derby who hasnt ???.
This could well play to a draw but i dont see what west ham are gonig to do to get a goal agisnt a in form side like newcastle when they are playing there flops such as zamora and cole.
sears looks good and could be a problem, younger centre back tomkins is yet to be seen what he can do as he only played agisnt derby.
newcastle might just take this 1-0 so AH is probley the ebst bet going and at a little over evens could put 500 on and make this a very interessting end for the season with a couple of weeks left. _________________ OLBG'S RESIDENT DART PLAYER

Some good bets here imo. Pity some weren`t available in past weeks.
Surely Arsenal -1.5 will be far too good for Derby...but no-one seems to have mentioned this bet here.
Newcastle +0 is another decent bet.
As is Aston Villa +.25.
Really struggling to pick one out (probably do all 3 myself)
Think Arsenal is pretty much nailed on...so will choose this |

I'm rather worried we are showing a ridiculous amount of confidence in Villa and Newcastle, them winning is everywhere this week!. Yes they are very good bets, no they are not dead certs. At least consider the last 6 or 7 games and not just the results of the last 2 or 3. Newc are a MID-TABLE side, they're defence will leak again soon. Everton & Hammers are both due a performance. Oops, wrong thread, this makes more sense in the 1X2 thread. oops, too late as i've been there. D'OH!
The AH's are great because i can't see either losing, altho i'm not convinced Newc or Villa will win.
Anyone seeing the slight irony in Villa AH being rejected by some because it's under Evens. This AH margin is in fact 2 separate bets, half our stake OVER Evens on Villa DNB, half UNDER Evens on Villa Double Chance & EXACTLY THE TYPE OF BET WE DID ON VILLA LAST WEEK (ok, so the Over Evens bit made the total odds a bit higher last week)
Villa AH +0.25 for me. Eve short on form and goals Villa most definitely not short on either.
Ars a cracking bet too, but would have preferred Ars -2 for bigger odds though whilst still no more risk. _________________ Steve |

| For me it was between Arsenal and Villa. As many have said. Arsenal will win its a question of how many. Villa are on a hot streak whereas Everton are not so hot. However to get a win at Everton is not easy. Only the top teams have really managed it this season. My selection is Arsenal -1.5 with Villa being my second choice. |
