This is a home win here imo.Aston Villa still in with a big chance of catching Everton. They sit only 3 points below them with a slightly better goal differance.Everton have a tough last couple of games against Arsenal and Newcastle while Villa have got Wigan and Westham. They should really be up for it.They are ending the season on a high after a slight dip in form.17 goals in their last four games is impressive.Wigan have been on a good run recently but i think they will be comfortably beaten here.Their away form hasnt been great this season with only one win.Their defence is nowhere near as good away than it is at home and they dont score that many goals. They were held to a 0-0 draw by Reading lto.Wigan have a tough last couple of games against Villa and United but look safe now with Birmingham, Reading and Bolton fighting it out between them. With Villa scoring plenty at the moment i would be happy to take them on the AH.

Best 1X2 bet: HOME WIN (short price but great chance)
Best AH bet : VILLA -1 @ 15/14 with Canbet (this would get my vote)
Best Under/Over bet: Overs (but we would be counting on Villa scoring more than 2 goals and at the price the above bet is much better)
Best Other bet :Carew ATS

i believe Wigan on 37 points will be playing for 1 point here, as it is not realistic to expect any points when they entertain title-chasing MU in their final game.
Bham are on 32 points and if they fail to beat Fulham away, Wigan will be safe for another season.
Historical records pour cold water on Villa AH -1. Villa have not managed to win by more than 1 goal in their last 5 h2h; 1w-2d-2l. The 2 previous h2h at Villa ended 1-1, 0-2.
On the premise that Wigan will park the bus at Villa Park, an odds-against under 2.5 goals bet can be considered.

1x2- draw @ 3.8
AH- Wigan AH +1 @ 1.875
U/O- <2.5 @ 2.05

best bet- <2.5 goals @ 2.05

If we went to the final BOTW with both of those we could see the "any bet except Villa" options split the vote and end up with a no-bet on the Villa game. Now that would be heart-breaking wouldn't it.

I wonder if the rules could be bent slightly and we do both bets but voted for as one bet. E.g. 60% of the voted for stake on AH-1 and the other 40% on "by 2 goals or more".

Can anyone see what I am getting at?

I see exactly where you are coming from alfie and was worried of the 'split vote' myself

Not sure if it is right to combine the 2 bets for voting purposes but would be happy for nors to choose what he thinks is the best value and just post that one for BOTW.
