Yes, cheers Gecko and well done to all who carried on.
...especially you tipstonga who turned things around nicely towards the end.
Its definitely a good idea to review the format before we start up again as we could really do with a bit more participation throughout the whole season.
So with no football, I'm off to enjoy the summer sun! |

well... we've got to the end.. original idea was to get at least 37 wks of the 40 wks done.. ie just missing 3 wks due to whatever reason... the following 5 tipsters all made 37 wks or more so well done folks.. top effort
and 4 of the 5 made a profit which meant they beat the bookies
considering the limited market (prem only mainly) and the fact you had to pick each wk, it's a superb job to manage to get a profit by the end...
tipster > profit > bank > wks > avg odds > ROI
EEZZEE > 47.30% > £5,892.13 > 40 > 2.45 > 16.70%
gecko6 > 37.50% > £5,500 > 40 > 2.14 > 17.30%
neilthebeaver > 21.79% > £4,750 > 39 > 2.93 > 6.80%
tipstonga > 1.26% > £4,050 > 40 > 3.16 > 0.40%
hindsight > -14.74% > £3,240 > 38 > 4.63 > -4.70%
NB > EEZZEE actually did 41 wks and his final wk was another win so ended up with profit of £2636.25 which was over 64% profit..fabulous effort
NB > average odds taken were all ABOVE evens so good to see no heavy hitting on long odd-on shots (pretty quick way to lose that is)

Well done guys What about putting in a word to the powers that be in getting the OLBG v Bookies to return next season, with the quality of football tipsters we have at the moment I'd have no doubt that we would end next season in profit. _________________ All the best. |

cheers KKC
i think there might need to be the odd change to the voting.. ie all those that voted without input and affected the chosen selections and stakes...
but i agree - there is proven evidence now we can beat the bookies over the season!

I used to enjoy the original OLBG v Bookies when the powers above provided some real cash each week to play with.
WE WANT MORE, WE WANT MORE!!!!!
