first look i like the look of iceland at 2.75 with Coral for their game against N. ireland.
iceland have just drawn at home to spain and even though spain were reduced to 10 men, it was still a credible result.
meanwhile ni were losing away to latvia, unluckily so in the manner of it but they still lost.
backing minnows to beat anyone is always a risky proposition though so if i do back them it would be with small stakes.
any thoughts on this appreciated |

Not sure, that price looks like quite a gift if you only take into account their game against Spain. Personally, I think N. Ireland will probably get back on the rails and take the win here _________________ PLAY UP POMPEY |

IMO, NI are a major nosebleed. The tiny Irish have done well to get into the position they are, but they are still and will always be the tiny Irish. They have the 4 best teams left to play in the group and I will not be surprised if they dont pick up another point. They were given a very favourable draw and did well to take the exposue. Home wins against Spain and Sweden have made it a qualifying to remember but to finish with 3 away games to Iceland Sweden and Spain and host a Denmark, who may still fancy there chances, will prove too much.
Sorry Northen Ireland, but your done. |

iceland draw no bet to beat northern ireland at 5/6 iceland aren't a walkover at home and could well nick a result against N.I. who look to have been punching above their weight.
czech republic to beat ireland at 4/7 the czechs need the win here to breathe a little easier. their forwards are in good form and they should outscore ireland who look wobbly at the back.
england to win at 4/7 first off, the price on england to win is a little too short in my view to be taken outright, but will be one for an accumulator. the russians are alot stronger than israel were, they actually have players who can attack. despite hiddinks claims that they will be coming to win the game and attack, i am not convinced. they will be looking for a draw at best, looking to counter on the break. it will be tough for england, but if russia DO open up the game, that can suit only suit england giving them space to exploit. there may be some value in both teams to score at 11/10 as the visitors will get chances.
slovakia to beat wales at 4/7 the irish should have really won on saturday, but the slovakians showed they are very capable of nicking goals, and should do a job on wales. the welsh will still be without bellamy, and koumas is now set to miss the game. they were played off the park by the germans and it will be difficult to lift themselves in a tough away game, and also given they have no chance of qualifying. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

Hey. I never really said what I thought so here I go.
Iceland went to "Nth Ireland Park"? and detroyed hem 3-0. Yes it was a while ago and bothe teams forms have turned around since then. Iceland at home looks like the favoured result but Iceland draw no bet at 5/6, as your man up there ^ says, looks like easy money and that is the one I will be on. |

Agree jokerfox, NI are one to avoid on Wednesday. The result on Saturday was a return to the bad old days and the teams news doesn't sound promising, Healy Evans and Gillespie all sitting out training. Unfortunately I have to agree with the earliar posters, it could be a poor run in for us. Worthington comes across as a nice guy and someone who cares about the cause but he can't motivate the team in the way Sanchez did. Sanchez made a mostly average team believe that they could beat anybody and they did. I hope I'm wrong.
A lot of apparent bankers on Wednesday but two games that have slightly better odds
Finland v Poland A top of the table game, with both teams coming off good results at the weekend. Poland were particularly impressive getting a 2-2 draw in Portugal. I am going for the away win based on the fact that the Poles are fairly freescoring and the confidence from the result on saturday.
Norway v Greece Another top of the table game. Norway seem to be coming into form and aqain are the highest scorers in the group. Will be close but I am going for the home win.

| Very interesting facts there but imo i think this is going to be a more open affair and there could be a few more goals than you might expect. England must win and russia need a point at the least so lets say England get an early goal, Russia will be all out attack because they need a draw so could result in a few goals and vice versa if russia were to score first. My prediction for this game is 3-1 England, drawing 1-1 at half time. |

dont know who all your selections are playing except Italy. Ukraine are a totally different team at home as to when they travel. I would stay well clear of backing the Itallians unless you are getting the proper odds. wouldnt take less than 13/5. infact i would look for Ukraine draw no bet. I dont think they will lose this. |

| england at home to russia czech at home to republic of ireland and holland away in albania.. yes i hear ukraine are missing key players and i think after drawing at home italy may feel they need to push the issue in this game and get the 3 pts |

England have to be the bet of the day here,as others have said this is too big a game for England and 3 points is a must, were still buzzing from the Isreal game and i think that was the best England have played in a very long time so i expect the same performance here.
I would like to see Heskey start upfront again with Owen they both linked up well with each other last time out so i would be suprised if McClarren changes it upfront.
England will want to start the game well and get a goal early because we all know once Russia get a foothold in the game they often go onto do well so we need to break them down early and im sure we will.
England win 1.54 and small stakes on England/England 2.4 |

england would be better starting with crouch as he scores, heskey hasnt the confidence(bottle) to take his chances.
crouch causes as much bother as heskey does with added goals.
i wouldnt touch england with heskey up front at those odds against this opposition.
for value i think russia 4/1 draw no bet is decent odds |
