I've got some bad news for you England fans
I was going to Lay England (or at least back Russia AH +1) but I actually fancy England to do well tomorrow. Well second half anyway.
Russia's last 3 away games
- played the (not so) mighty (these days) Dutch in a friendly in Feb 07 in AMS. 0-0 at HT and then 4-1 to the Dutch second half.
- Estonia away 0-0 HT 0-2 FT March 07
- Croatia away 0-0 FT June 07
Draw HT/england ft @4.80 small stakes for me and to be honest I'd be happy to lose the bet if England lead first half and FT
0-0 HT around 2.80 also appeals, but I was hoping for higher.
Trading option would be;
Unders @1.68 to trade 1st half (Russia dont score/concede many early against top teams or when away from home) |

Iceland vs Northern Ireland
Iceland is one of the hardest places to go and get a result. NI's defeat to Latvia at the weekend has put a massive dent in their qualification hopes, and despite them still sitting in 2nd place, that defeat will probably be they result that they look back on when they dont qualify. Iceland are solid at home, they would've bagged 3 points against 10 man Spain at the weekend, if not for a late equaliser.
Its a must win game for NI, but I can't see them doing it. The defeat at the weekend will be a massive psychological blow for them, and it may show tonight. Iceland will be confident of getting a result, and the fact that they virtually cannot qualify makes them that little bit more dangerous.
Draw No Bet - Iceland @ 2.06 _________________ Red Bull gives you wings.
Stoke and Hull better stock up on Red Bull then, as its the only way they'll get off the floor next season.....

Belguim should have enough to see off Kazakhstan tomorrow. Put them with England who i think will have enough quality to see off a Russia side that doesnt really have any household names of brilliant players. £1 will pay £2.50 at PP, so thats my NAP for the night.
Also the over goal market. Whats people views on this? I expect in most games there to be a few goals so ive plumped on 6 games for in an accumlator for there to be 2 or more goals. |

i hope mclaren picks the same side that decimated israel. heskey is much more of a nuisance to defenders than crouch who reportedly is being targeted by refs. moreso when crouch is not strong in the air given his height. he is good technically but cannot win the knockdowns or physically impose himself. i think england will be looking for the early goal and will get it. i don't personally buy into the fact that england will win because they need to. world cup usa 94 qualifiers anyone? or what about the polish goalkeeper who was supposed to be a clown despite that, the russians know they are going to be up against it.
the coach hiddink is saying they will look to win and have no fear etc, but the russian players are saying a draw will make them national heroes. i believe the latter. i like england to be winning at half time at 21/20. the stats say otherwise but, the stats on saturday suggested israel could push england close or even draw. the next day it was, 'well, it is only israel'. if anyone saw russia get battered and ride their luck in croatia, it is plausible england can get a good start. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

I agree with topnotch. Reports are saying that England will go hell for leather in the first 20 mins to repeat the Israel result.
England to lead at half time for me
England will be under a lot of pressure in the second half, Russia won't lie down when they're losing 1-0. Keep an eye out for overs, but both defences have been so good that I'll avoid this. Too risky, don't bet your house on this match _________________ Corner vulture

I see Robbie Keane is @ 4 on PaddyPower to be 1st Irish goalscorer,
but 4.2 for anytime goalscorer. Maybe its possible to arbitrage this
(elsewhere) for a (modest) profit. Either way, pp have this wrong |

Just the two for me tonight although was tempted by Belgium, Czech Republic and a couple of others...
Being patriotic and backing England to the hill and back. Off to see the game tonight and am so nervous. Really think we'll do it as long as McClaren doesn't change the line-up. Heskey has got to start after Saturday surely. Hope so.
Also with Croatia to tonk Andorra. Ridiculously short prices but as a double could be worth it.
Good luck all! _________________ Non-League Guru!!! |

Have fun Gazza, I hope the team are focused and determined as we were on Saturday.
Bet for me tonight so far is:
France Halftime/Fulltime Win @1.98 currently with Betfair
Fantastic bet in my opinion, Scotland are weak in defence and will certainly struggle to cope with the French attack who will come out with an early assualt on the Scots, I fancy them to nick an early goal, Scotland will struggle to score a goal tonight and as long as the early goal comes I fancy this hugely.

Guys why are you so sure England will beat?I hope England will beat but there is no way to bet on this match.Russia have very good coach and they play very well in defence. The odds for England are too low.I prefer to try under 2.5 goals.England have problems when play with teams like Bulgaria,Romania,Croatia,Turkey... and Russia have more or less the same playing style.
I am very interested in Belgium game.Does anybody have info about it? |

I'll be doing 10 doubles on matches to be a draw
Norway v Greece
2nd v 1st, Bosnia beat Norway at home, but Norway then beat Hungary & Malta 4-0. They also beat Argentina recently. Greece haven't conceded away and I think they'll play it tight. Possibly 0-0.
Finland v Poland
Also 2nd hosts 1st. Their respective h & a records are 3-1-1
Finland scored 6 conceded 4, Poland 7-4. It may be a score draw here.
Iceland v Norn Iron
Iceland haven't won since their 3-0 in Belfast last Sep., but Gudjohnsen returns. N. Ireland have been doing well since, though they lost to Latvia.
They need a result and may well come away with a point.
Czech Rep. v Rep. of Ireland
Ireland should have finished off Slovakia last week, but the draw was the fair result. They haven't beaten a decent team away competitively in 20 years. Jan Koller is suspended and there are rumours of unrest in the Czech camp. A big game from Dunne & Given is needed.
Small bet on Dunne to score from a header @ 41 PaddyPower.
Ukraine v Italy
4th v 3rd and a big game for both. The Ukraine have won their three home games. Both have had tight wins over lesser opposition and
this hopefully the hosts will hold out for a draw.
The above are all 3 - 3.5, so 2 draws means money back,
here's hoping there's 3 |

Going for a treble tonight Holland, Belgium and Portugal at odds of
3.3.
Holland have yet lose in the group winning 5 and drawing 2 are away to albania who have already lost 2-0 at home to romania and drew at home to slovenia.
Belgium are playing away to Kazakhstan. who have been beaten at home by poland, portugal, finland and armenia. Belgium are currently ranked 69th and Kazakhstan are 115th in fifa world rankings.
Portugal have won 3 out 4 of there home games winning 3-0,3-0,4-0 and unluckly drawing to poland 2-2. serbia have lost away to Kazakhstan and belgium.
also think double of turkey and czech rep is good odds at 2.33. |
