Jon Dahl Tomasson + (First Goalscorer) @ 3/1
Denmarks top goalscorer in the Euro 2008 qualifiers. Currently has 4 goals has an easy opportunity to extend that by quite a few against a poor team. Jon Dahl Tomasson has played 7 and scored 4 for denmark in the qualifiers, played 2 and scored 1 for villareal but also played 3 international friendlies and scored 2. In Liechtenstein, the score was 4-0 denmark with jon Dahl Tomasson scoring a brace. Liechtenstein have played 8 and conceded an incredible 21 goals. Be a shocker if this is not 3 or 4 if not more. Denmark should comfortably win and their star striker should grab a goal and 3/1 to grab the first goal is a bargain. Recommendation is to add denmark to your accumulator but also have a bet on jan dahl tomasson anytime goalscorer if not confident on first goal. |

Just to tell you i got tomasson and villa as anytime goalscorers. Tomasson stated above but David Villa is spains first choice striker, Torres was sacrificed when alonso was sent off. Their top scorer can get another goal against latvia especially as spain are at home and must win this game. He also takes the penalties.
David Villa anytime scorer 6/5 |

On reflection, maybe Italy will be too strong.
*scratched
2-6-2006 (Lausanne) Italy 0-0 Ukraine (Friendly)
30-6-2006 (Hamburg) Italy 3-0 Ukraine (World Cup)
7-10-2006 (Rome) Italy 2-0 Ukraine (Euro 08’ Qualifier)
Luca Toni is out and Gattuso is suspended.
"..Alessandro Del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi, who were disappointing against France. Reports suggest that both may be dropped with either Iaquinta or Cristiano Lucarelli given the lone striker role, to be supported by either Antonio Di Natale or Fabio Quagliarella. "
Gonna stick that on now, as I'll be rippin' if I change & it ends up level

Portugal vs Serbia
I cannot believe the prices you can get for the Serbs. 9/5 Serbia +1 (PP) is huge. 8/1 to win (Coral) IMO is crazy. I told to go against Portugal at the weekend and I will tell you again. Portugal are the most over-rated team in the world. Alot of big names but no team spirt and at these prices serbia cannot be ignored.
Finland vs Poland
I have to go with Poland again. 9/4(Coral) is a big price. Polands only proper defeat in this campainge was a 3-1 home defeat to the Fins. But that was a long time ago and alot of personel have changed. The Poles will have all but qualified if they win this and with strength throught the Polish side I dont think the Fins will have enough to compete.
Ukraine vs Italy
Ukraine 14/5 (WH). I wrote a huge paragraph of nonsense here and have deleted it. If Ukraine win here and Scotland win in Paris Scotland will be pretty close to qualification. GO UKRAINE!
(people look at this group as the two world cup finalists, they tend to forget Ukraine got to the quarters at the last world cup. they aint no fools. Double chance ukraine draw would still give a handy return) _________________ 2263

England Vs Russia HOME WIN
As expected it was a much better, much more confident display by England at the weekend. They do have to face a much better side tonight in Russia though but that win will have boosted the players condifence.Hopefuly McClaren will stick with the same players tonight including Heskey, Barry and Philips who all played very well.Russia are much more dangerous, alot tougher to break down and Hiddink will have them fired up for it.I think it will be a closer game but England should be too good at home and are just as good in defence. If getting an early goal again it will calm any nerves. Then England snatching a late 2nd goal to make it 2-0 near the end is how i see it.
Bets:
HOME WIN @ 8/13
Scorecast:2-0 with J Cole scoring first @ 50/1
England/England HT/FT @ 6/5
Last Scorer:Michael Owen @ 9/2

I am very annoyed for some reason there was no anytime goalscorer for van nistelrooy and the leader was dirk kuyt so i pressumed he was not starting. Guess who played the whole match and scored |

well done to all who backed england.
they played very well and in that form will qualify and if they can maintain it and improve again they will be serious contenders to win the comp outright.
i had backed russia at 4/1 with draw no bet as i reckoned it was a value price and although they had a couple of chances and a good goal disallowed, England well deserved their victory and were not flattered by the score.
the problem with backing england is you will never get a value price with them. |
