I know it's very early indeed but had to put a post up about Romania to win Group C at next years Euro's alongside Italy France and the Dutch.
The 15 you can get for them is to my mind has amazing trading value given the way they played in the qualifiers - they only lost one game to Bulgaria when they had already qualified but more importantly beat the Netherlands at home and took a 0-0 draw in Holland - i just can't see them at 15 shots at all.
Crucially they come up against France in their first group game and I can seriously see them taking all three points here. The French are not the force they once were and if the Scots can beat them in Paris then I feel that the Romanians can catch them cold, making the 15 look silly before they have to play the Italians.
Also the Romanians will have zero pressure and expectation and they might just go out, relax and enjoy it and who knows?
Recommendation - Euro 2008 Romania to win Group C @ 15 to Lay back. |

Forget what I said! 15 has gone! Best price is 13 now but still worth an interest surely?

I cant see Romania qualifying to be honest. They beat an over-rated Holland team at home, and drew away, yes. But look at Holland's form - beating Luxembourg 1-0 at home, and needing a stoppage time goal to beat Albania?
I'd expect France and Italy to comfortably take the top 2 spots, Romania 3rd at best.
Good luck though _________________ The only dedicated snooker betting blog on OLBG! -> Click here

Agree with you about Italy Betking but not so much France - I think there's enough doubts about the French to snap up the Romania price.
France are slow starters - in the last three major tournaments they have only managed a single win in their first game against England in Euro 2004 and they were about two and a half minutes away from losing that remember?!! (good old England ) and i can still see that opening match defeat to Senegal in the 2002 World Cup!
They are not the same team without Zidane - they are still good but poorer for his absence (headbutts not withstanding!) and inconsistency is an issue beating the Italians 3-1 in Paris and then losing to the Scots next qualifying game? Not a convincing sign in my eyes.
Just have that feeling that Romania may well take something from them and if they do then i'll look to Lay back then. Might hang on a bit if they turn the French over!
Looking forward to it! |

I think (stating the obvious here) if Romania beat France, they'll go through. If they dont, they wont. Its very much a crucial game at the start of the group _________________ The only dedicated snooker betting blog on OLBG! -> Click here

| Will be backing Portugal to top group a. Czech Republic will certainly feel the absence of Rosicky and Nedved is not coming back out of retirement. |

In Group D I think there it is a good shout for Russia to qualify at 2.38 (Betfair).
Russia are improving all the time (take Zenit as an example) and at the moment I haven't really got the time to go into it, but I think they have a better squad than both Sweden and Greece, and will probably give Spain a run for first place.
On paper for me they should finish 2nd behind Spain, but I though the odds would be around evens, not nearly 2.4!! |

I think Switzerland in Group A will become a dark horse. With 2 good central defenders senderos and djorou they will be hard to beat.
The problem is their offense, in their friendly match against Liechtenstein, they only manage to score 3 goals (3-0). Alexander Frei is good striker but he need support from his partner. There is still a good chance Switzerland to be a winner of Group A since they will get support as a home team..
I ll put my bet on Switzerland as a group A winner @4.5
Good luck |

| Senderos - good defender? Most Gooners I know cringe when he touches the ball. Keep your money in a Swiss Bank account Vicard, a lot safer there than on that bet of yours. |

Group B
Austria, Croatia, Germany, Poland
Germany are often slow starters in this competition. Here's a stat for you...Germany have only ever won 1 of there openeing fixtures in this tournament. Poland could not have drawn them at a better time.
I dont believe Croatia to be... any... good (tried to make this nicer but ... hey ho).
Austria are pretty much an unknown. Seem to have a bit of fire power, maybe a bit leaky against top oposition.
I watched Poland v Denmark t'other day. Although was 1-1 Poland were by far the better side.
I tink there maybe an upset on the cards here. Poland to beat Germany in the opening game and go on to take the group. |

Group B
Austria, Croatia, Germany, Poland
I have a bit different opinion, I agree Germany always be a slow starter in a tourney but I think Croatia will be a group B winner.
They played very well in qualifying group to beat England twice (2-0(H) and 3-2(A)).
Croatia @3.4 will be a nice value to bet. |
