Euro 2008 Group Matches

I know its still a fair way off but the big tournament over the summer looks to have some decent bets with good odds on offer now.

The bookmaker i've been looking at is bet-at-home.com which i have never used before but with the prices looking pretty high i'm tempted to make some bets now and maybe trade off later if i have too.

It maybe a tad early without knowing which players will be fit for duty but i think a decent profit could be made if i get on quick

Games i've been looking at are:

Switzerland - Czech Republic @2.35

Austria - Croatia @1.80

Romania - France @1.80

Italy - Romania @1.65

Switzerland - Portugal 2.05

Austria - Germany @1.4

The best ones i have highlighted blue

Any positive thoughts for this ,because as it gets close and more people start betting on these games prices for the favourites are going to drop alot i think

Positive I'm not going to be I'm afraid lazystakes!! Sorry!! Don't like a single price on those as they stand. I personally think Romania will give France a very tough time in their first group game and won't be the pushovers that many people expect them to be.

Also I'm always ultra cautious about opposing home nations in tournaments like this, poor form or not.

Have already had antepost bets on group winners and tournament winner but I'll be leaving the individual matches until much nearer the time when squads and team news are announced.

I've been looking into betting on the euros as well. Has anyone used Bet365? They seem to have some good odds on their Euro 2008 page. what odds do you think I could get on England winning the Euro Finals?! Wink

albiontilidie if you go to their Euro 2008 page there are the odds for individual matches also.

Ive been looking at 5 bets for the 1st few days of matches...

Austria v Croatia = Croatia -0.5 @ 2.07
Greece v Sweden = Sweden +0 @ 1.85
Holland v Italy = Italy +0 @ 1.72
Switzerland v Czech Republic = Czech Republic +0 @ 1.86
Portugal v Turkey = Portugal -0.5 @ 1.81

All singles, and a fivefold at around 20/1

If that price for Croatia to beat Austra is correct (2.07) then that looks massive value. Austra are poor, and even without Eduardo, Croatia are a solid outfit and should win that game.

Indeed betking, was @ 2.07 last night on Ladbrokes, down to 2.04 today, Bet365 have it @ 2.025

still good value without the handicap also @ Evens with Coral

I think Portugal at 1.75 and with 1.5 over goals at 1.4 could be a good double.
