Reid isn't up to much these days, so my hunch is Froch TKO in the 5th but I won't be backing it.

Hardest fight Froch has faced against Reid who has put people like Sven Ottke on the mat.

I think Reid is far too higher price to miss and i had a small punt on Reid to win @6/1

Good luck all

I disagree that this will be Carl Froch's hardest fight.

Robin Reid's shot for me, and he's only looking for a payday against him. In his last two fights he lost a tight decision to a virtually unknown fighter in Jesse Brinkley and got shown up against Jeff Lacy. The days of him losing a split decision against Joe Calzaghe, putting Sven Ottke down and battling to a win against undefeated Brian Magee are over.

I think you're throwing your money away if you back Reid, and 1/14 for a Froch win seems about right.

Froch should win this comfortably as he has stated he then wants to go up in the weights to face Joe Calzaghe (brave man).

Surely Carl Froch would be a step down? Joe Calzaghe would be better facing Bernard Hopkins, Chad Dawson, Roy Jones Jnr or even Clinton Woods before even ever considering Froch.

looking forward to this fight Froch looks like a really talented fighter and he's a big puncher but not as big as Cardiff City's Darren Purse as seen on Soccer AM last week Laughing Reid is very experienced and is an ex world champion but he is nothing more than a British Contender, Froch will be sharper and I fancy him to win on Points

btw Calzaghe will never fight Froch

the option i was looking for in the poll isnt there,

REID TO BE DISQ

he is past his best and up against it tonight and has played dirty in the past. The ref will be aware of this tactic Reid now employs and could get warned out of this contest. He has used it in the past and actually won when doing so, but i dont think tonight will be his night and the tactic could be over-used leading to disqualification

What price on it dya reckon?

Do you think Robin Reid will last the distance against an opponent who isn't going to give him a minute's break, and has the ability to KO him with both hands then? I personally can't see it happening as Reid hasn't gone the distance (12 rounds) in nearly four years, and I can't see him breaking that record here tonight if I'm honest - furthermore, my bet of the bout is 'Carl Froch by KO, TKO or Disqualification' at 8/11.

But there again, Reid has only ever been stopped once in his career and that was to Jeff Lacy, however, he hasn't trained properly due to a virus and isn't young anymore. He got shook up by Brinkley in his last bout and got away with it due to Brinkley's lack of power and fitness, he let himself get picked off with the jab.

It's a tough one to call but I'm staying away from it.

on google type their names and boxrec i.e. "Carl Froch boxrec" and you'll get his complete professional record.

Lacy can hit, but in the power stakes i'd say froch is probably a harder hitter overall (lacy just loved his own left hook, froch has the power in his crosses, uppercuts, straights etc). Reid will be dropped, and either a tko or ko will finish him, and his career. so Carl Froch to win by KO or TKO 4 - 5 with paddy is where im sticking my reputation.
