A few of you may have seen me making a case for hatton to win sports personality if he wins tonight. Tonight he is 6/4 to beat Mayweather and around 5/2 to win the sports personality. I think the odds of 6/4 to win is no value to be honest so have been wanting to back the double. The double would pay around 13/2 , so all we need is for hatton to win the fight then he will deffo win the SP too. My son tried to put a double on at Betfred last night but they refused the bet because it was an associated bet or something. Just now my son went to our local Corals and tried the same bet. He wrote the bets out and put ₤20 double and asked the cashier to write the odds on the slip. She did and accepted the bet. We got 6/4 on the fight and 12/1 for him to win Sports personality. Hatton is only around 2/1 now for (bbc sp) so she as obviously screwed up giving us 12's. What I need to know is, will the bet stand because of there mistake or can I make a stand and say you wrote the odds and accepted the bet now you must honour it. This all depends on Hatton winning of course, but if he does it's a ₤650 payout 
The bet is wrote out as follows,
Hatton to beat Mayweather 6/4
Hatton to win BBC Sports Personality 12/1
₤20 Double
Is my bet valid guys n gals, what u think???????

There is association regarding the double but not one that would stand up i would think.
The 12/1 for Sport personality however, could be a problem. I am guessing that it was in fact 2/1 but has been written down wrongly. If they decide to come back to you if the bet wins and say the time the bet was placed it was 2/1, i dont think you'll have much chance as i think there may be a clause with ref cashier error.
There are a lot of thinks in the above, but i'm certian the double will stand however.
remember also that if HAtton has a gutsy fight and loses,he may still win the spoty anyway cos we love a valiant loser anyways.

Cheers MOB, I understand the 12/1 is a mistake, but I could argue the case for awhile at least In all honesty I'd be happy to get the 6/4 and 2/1 double. Like I said earlier, backing Hatton at 6/4 is poor value but getting the double makes it a great value bet. Ricky needs a win yet though and that aint gonna be easy
