any early thoughts on the quarter finals? here's mine;
kein painter v adrian lewis. should be a cracking game. good entertainment, and although it will be close i think painter may edge a nailbiter. lewis has shown bouts of brilliance coupled with some shocking sloppiness. if painter can bring his feet back on the ground after a sublime display against barney he should win this, he has been the form player so far and proved it tonight. my pick kevin painter at even money to be fair, given his consistency im a little surprised kevin is going off as the underdog.
phil taylor v wayne mardle. i may take mardle at 7/2 to trade out if possible. phil taylor shouldn't be going off a 1/6 shot given the way he has been playing. although i expect him to win in the end, he has been going down to the wire against opponents he shouldn't have been (apart from tabern who was wonderful on the night). if mardle can get his A.D.H.D in check he has a massive chance here to knock out the 13 time champ. taylor has been starting slow and this game could be a traders dream from the darting gods. i aint going crazy with the stake until i see which mardle turns up, but this could be another close call for taylor and not a massive shock if he bowed out. i dont want to look silly (never stopped me before - i'll get that in before everyone else does ) , but i reckon punters will get a much better stake than 1/6 for taylor at some point in the match betting in play.
part v wade. tricky game to call for me because wade can be unbeatable on his day however due to flu or whatever was very disappointing against dudbridge. part however is ticking along nicely, although the whitewash of an under par alex roy shouldn't be over estimated. roy was poor on the night. the man in the best shape is part, but i can't write wade off. wade is the favourite around 4/6 but if he plays like he did today he will be knocked out. i still fancy james wade to get through, however it is best to hear what state he is in on the day. moreso given he and john part play in the afternoon tomorrow and has less time to recover from any illness. as this is a longer format now, part may have the stamina advantage if wade is still ill and it goes all the way.
finally, manley v shepherd. shepherd has done extremely well to get this far however it looks the end of the road here. peter manley around 2/5 looks a solid shout. if it is too short a price alone put it in an acca because shepherd has been let off the hook afew times so far. he himself admitted he can play better, and he will need to if manley is in the mood. 'one dart' has been businesslike so far without being particularly impressive and should sneak the win here.
all the best. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

hi
i think that under 13.5 180's in tonights game with painter and lewis at evens is a real value bet.
14 180's takes some getting in high pressure stage environment
thanks

What a great day yesterday was. I took Mardle at 13's when he was 2-0 down in sets and so made a very nice sum. Risked that all on Painter beating Lewis and he duely obliged at EVENS doubling my profit. Best day of the tournament for me
I am also big on Mardle to win the tournament now. Something about him makes me think he is mentally ready for it. |

the blog yesterday was a winner again. A few wrong yesterday but all 3 right in the mardle game made the day a winner.
my veiws for the semis are up although i cant find any bets other than set of match at present.
agree with you aswell think mardle could go on to win this now. unless last night was his final as you sometimes get in this game.
only 2 days to go now. seems to have gone too fast. _________________ OLBG'S RESIDENT DART PLAYER

hi
going for under 17.5 x 180's in the painter part match, again like i said 18 180's take a lot of getting in a high pressure environment.
i presume its first to 6 sets tonight? _________________ COME ON...................(loud roar) |

well, what a cracker of a tournament. in days gone by the fa cup used to be like this . bit gutted for wayne mardle. just had a sick feeling that like painter, having beaten the top 2 seeds they would cock it up. shame really. the big question. can kirk shepherd actually win it? john part is around 2/5 mark and despite the price i can't see past investing in this. however i will be rooting for the rookie. i wonder how many punters had kirk shepherd Each Way before the tournament kicked off. phew. _________________ top rugby tipster april 2007 |

| I got Shepherd at 200-1 last week but only put a few quid on him. I was looking at the odds after a day or two and just stuck a few quid on all the long shots which at the time included Ovens, Eccles (391-1!!), Painter (got him at 180-1, half laid him off before the Part game as I didn't fancy his chances after the quarter-final), Van De Voort (was 300-1!), Alex Roy (440-1)...couldn't overlook these odds! Some didn't get too far, some I avoided laying off so didn't gain anything (ahhhgghh...if only Eccles could have beaten Lewis or I'd not been so greedy to not Lay him off when he was winning!) but the failure of the favourites now means a bit of a bonanza irrespective of the result tomorrow. If I had any tip I'd suggest doing the same in the BDO Darts - the short 1st and 2nd round games, it's a lottery and the long shots are capable of anything. At least, I wouldn't suggest large stakes on anyone in darts anymore...it seems too open. |

ive loved the darts this year and i wish we could have a new world champion every year.
Doubt taylor or barney will lose it again next year so looks that way again.
Met the tipster mat at a competition last week and this has been the first time i have had a chance to look at the site. It looks good and i think ill have a look around it for a while see if i can figure out how it works. Checked out the blog mat made and there's been some good winners so well done. Think if i was betting in the final it would have to be a part highest finish. might just watch it though as i dont bet too often and when i do my quid dont go that far
My grandad bets all the time but i just dont understand things like horse's but i dont like having a bet when he has a tip so any tips guys let me have them. Ive got a whole £2 on a horse in the 1:30 i read about. Going to open a account with a online bookie now so i dont need to get my grandad to go the the bookies for me all the time and im even going to put in a tenner
all tips welcome guys
