Hello all , I wonder how many of you if any just use OLBG for the fun of it and never place a bet in real life? Also interested to hear from those that place less than 10 euros or pounds per week on bets .
I'm thinking of a system to make money for the sports betting fans with little or no bankroll
Thanks

Yann

Enjoy OLBG very much and learn an awful lot, covering a huge range of sports.....I have never posted a tip that I have not backed myself....at the end of the day , if you have not got the confidence to back it youself, why post it on the forum? Ok if it is an opinion or an informed guess, but if it is a geniune tip or advice, put your own money on!..Good Luck

Aggreeing with you to a degree Roger in regarding the "why post a tip if you're not gonna back it comment" .... I for myself usually post comments and reasoning with my tips. However as time of writing I'm in a strategy testing mood.... I can also recall a time at the beginning of my betting life 5 6 years ago where placing bets for fun and following the games live was thrilling and good enough . I gotta believe there would still be a few people playing it along those lines. That's the reasonning behind the original question.

Hi Guys,

I use the tipster comp to try keep a record of systems I am trialling, I also have a paper diary of what I would have bet on. I don't often post tips in the daily threads but when I do I do try and post all my reasoning however right or wrong it turns out be.

Most of my real money betting is in-play and Ionly bet real money 2-3 times a month therefore I don't post these in the threads because by the time I can post them I would be after-posting.

Roger green,
the statistics of each tipster on every separate table can show us who is helpful to the others and who isn't. This is why OLBG show not only the profit which may be lucky coming from a score prediction, but also the stike rate. For me , strike rate shows the best of us in every category since OLBG is not a bookmaker. Months ago I had started a conversation about adding extra creteria for the prizes apart from the profit(strike rate, lsp etc.) . Some great improovements took place with the goals and the AH tables depended on lsp and not profit. If the prizes were given with a harder cmbination of criteria and not only profit, a lot of useless crazy tips like exact score or ht/ft would be avoided from the tipsters.

..and something else: for me the best tipsters are the consistent tipsters. It is very hard to get in that table, even harder to stay(check the creteria) and if you get a prize in that table you are a tip-king!!!
I prefer to trust those tipsters because the have long term profits(profitable 4 of the last 6 months, overall profit>600 last 6 months etc) the a camicaze with 50.000 profit come from only one lucky crazy tip

Punting is not an exact science, i try and will keep on saying it that your Staking plan has to revolve around your punting, that is no1, then your no2 is your betting tank you never ever commit more than 1/50th of it (£5,000) =£100.
With the way it is done on OLBG i use a different stratergy £1,000 then £100 added each day i modify it by the way i rate the selection depending were it comes in my table of ratings and of how much is in the tank. = the amount to invest on the bet.
Another misconseption punters have is that the winning runs are the ones to look after, well they will look after themselves its the losing runs that are the most important ones to manage, learn and do that and you will become more of an accomplished punter.
Long term punting and planning is the best way of investing and do your homework.
