11/1 (taken) and 10/11 consecutive Naps for me in the last two days and super confident of following that up again today. My NB was going to be my NAP, but when i noticed the actual NAP running, although it will be a short price, i cant see it being opposed in the race and thats the essence of the NAP is it not? STAMFORD BLUE very nearly made it here too, but the handicapper is supposed to prevent long winning runs so although i still think it will win, i am more confident of this handy 12lb well off NAP, and an excellent value NB for this thread.
ISHETOO (no odds found)(NAP)
This one will be going up 12lbs in the handicap from tomorrow, so obviously connections are taking full advantage and running it here in this higher class race at a weight that i feel gives it a distinct advantage over the field. The price is sure to reflect that but this horse is on the upgrade for sure and gets in here very well off. His penultimate run saw him get off the mark over 6f on soft ground and followed that up with a switch to the minimum on gd-fm. If Gower had stayed in the race things may have been a bit trickier in my mind but in that ones absence i see nothing to get near ISHETOO come the line.
PENDULUM STAR (no odds found)
I am going with one of the less fancied runners in this race in PENDULUM STAR. The form of his debut race at Warick on 7th May, is difficult to read into. The winner GRADUATION has gone on to be beaten into 3rd by Silver Pivotal and Promising Lead in a listed event at York last month. However all behind in that debut race at Warick have all failed to flatter since. The bare form of the last race at Windsor should NOT be read into too much as she ran green for some reason and then had very little rom when running on towards the end of that race with Labour Day finishing a couple of lengths in front. There are some other promising sorts in this race but i take the selection to spring a little surprise (to the market anyway), in going in hopefully at double figure odds. _________________ NEW! 320 Goodwood: SUPER CROSS ran a big race lto when finishing 2nd behind Graceful Steps beaten just under 2ls trying to conceed that horse 7lbs. Graceful Steps has since won again of a 7lbs higher mark. Sky But N Ben over 5ls behind the selection in 5th has also won since so that form has a solid look about it. The drop back to a mile today should suit and the booking of Jamie Spencer just back from suspension and eager for winners should be a good one. Spencer & Ed Dunlop 5/19, 26% so far this season with an lsp of £12.63 gets the dubious honour of being my best bet of the day (NAP)
850 Haydock: ISHETOO hopefully I wont still be waiting for my first winner of the day as dusk settles but aslong as the odds arent to short this one should give me a winner to end the day. Winner of both its starts this season it looks well in here of a mark of 63 when you consider that the handicappers reassessed it at 75 from Monday. Trainer Dickies had 2/7 in the last fortnight so the yards in fair form and Paul Hanaghan looks an inspired booking as he rides this course well. He's ridden 24 winners here at a sr of 14% and has been profitable as well with an lsp of £15.41 (NB) _________________ http://www.valuechecker.co.uk/

2:00 - Catterick - Speedy Senorita NAP
Ran well here over course and distance on debut when a promising 2nd, 2 1/2 legnths behind Tan Borita.Ran even better lto when only just beaten by a head.More improvemnt expected and this loks her best chance yet.Yard in form especially with their 2 year olds. They have won this race last twice. Can make it a hat trick today.

4:40 - Brighton - Stamford Blue NB
Is looking to complete a four timer here today before he goes up 13lb in the weights. After a dead heat with todays rival Quantum Leap he has gone on to complete a treble and escapes a penalty after winning an apprentice handicap win lto.Luke Morris who rode him to his dead heat takes the ride again claiming a handy 5lb.

BINANTI (no odds found) NAP Best runs have all been at Goodwood in class 2/3,s with possibly the best being a 3rd at last years glorious meeting. Good 6th on his first run of the season at Ascot on May 2nd. His trainer Pat Chamings is in decent form with 3 winners from his last 10 runners
AUREATE (no odds found) NB Mark Johnston doesnt bring them all the way down to Goodwood for a day out, Step down in trip is going to suit this one today after looking like winning on Saturday before fading near the finish over 2 furlongs more _________________ My mind is aglow with whirling, transient nodes of thought careening thru a cosmic vapor of invention |
