Reading through this thread with great interest and JC i am impressed that your goodself has taken the time out of your busy schedule to post up some insight information.
I have to agree that the All Weather is a place were nice prices can be found i prefer it to the turf and National Hunt. Watching over the last 6 months especially at Wolverhampton i have noticed that the horses that are drawn high have had a better run coming home in the centre of the track.
Dundalk i find very hard to get a winner at as Kempton but hopefully with the stats you have put up i can turn that around.
Thanks JC

| hey great tread JC and have read through and think that it must be time consuming so fair play to you mate. I read a book about the all weather about a year ago called Gold from the Sands, which gave me an understanding of the different tracks/sires etc and it was quite an intresting read although i havent had much look on AW. Thanks |

I find that I always get a ton of winners on the AW for some reason. Good priced ones too.
I generally stick to the horses with the good form. |

JC - if you're still about... I read this yesterday and put "some" of your theories into practice re: Lingfield.
Picked 6 horses, had 3 winners and 2 seconds and also the reverse forecast in the last.
I obviously didn't use "all" the info (don't understand most of it yet) but some of the basic stuff helped me discard some horses in each race which previously I would have been backing.
Paper trading & could have been beginners luck on my part but I think there's a lot of good advice in here, so thanks. |

| First off, great thread i think the aw is great and has potential to make some nice profits.Anyway a while ago i put a thread up on here about the turftrax and if anyone had any experiance of the monthly £5 subscription,i didnt get too many replies so this week i subscribed and so far ive found it very useful for the aw.I used it properly last night to try and pick a winner for every race, now could be first time lucky but i picked 3 winners using the stats on there for speed, sires etc.The best one being avontuur in the first which i got @20 on Betfair to win and 6 for a place so a very nice start.Keep the stats coming though and if anyone else has different ways of picking winners for the aw perhaps they could share them on here. |

Thanks for the feedback & glad you're picking the winners. As is well documented the fact that there are too may races for too few horses means fewer runners & less value ( draw bias minimises as the fields get less)
There are still good betting opportunities but one thing to note is that at alot of races over a mile there is often a false pace due to the smaller fields & make these events harder to call. I'd stick to the sprint races if I were you for the time being unless you have a decent class race being run

JC, just wanted to say thank you very much for the info you've posted in this thread. After considering the race with your pointers I selected Wibbadune at Lingfield 10 minutes ago at 16-1!!
Cheers mate.

MODS - any chance of making this a Sticky as its a regular for the "lost threads" question?
Might also be good to add some Great Leighs info too. Like how they manage the on-course betting market without public attendance
