Apologies for starting this thread yet again, but things were getting messy and in the light of a few good whispers, thought I would change a couple of selections. In future, I will only add a horse when it is nearly ready too run.

($650,000) A half brother to both Zaham & Alqaab, and though both of those were not seen to their best until stepped upto a 10 furlongs, he is bred to be much more of a miler. Zaham won over a mile as a youngster but was not seen until a three year old, but Maklaaheb should be seen this term, and if reports are right should make a winning introduction when seen.

Beautifully bred colt who is said to be high in the pecking order at Freemason Lodge. Apparently did a brilliant piece of work on the Limekilns Gallop under Kieren Fallon recently and could be a high class prospect. 7/8f should suit and should be forward enough to make a winning start to his career, as most of family have done.

Nicely bred son of Falbrav should be more than capable of winning a maiden before going on to better things ; 7 furlongs to a mile should suit this colt at two and quite likely to stay 1m 2f at three. Possible racecourse debut over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully an above average 2yo.

3rd foal, half-brother to Love On The Rocks, placed over 1m at 2, only season to race; dam unraced, sister to top-class Tomba, prolific winner over 6-7f at 2-5,half-sister to top-class Holding Court, multiple 1m-12f winner at 2-4, inc. Prix du Jockey-Club.

Has been one of the talking horses around Lambourn this summer and is held in the highest regard by his trainer who rates him a serious prospect. Has a nice pedigree too and is related to the smart duo of Holding Court and sprinter Tomba, but is bred to want 7-10f and should get the lower end of that range this year. Will be seen out soon at one of the top tracks in a 7f maiden and could be very nice indeed.

Second foal of Habariya, who was unraced at two and was a winner of a 12 furlongs maiden from 3 starts as a 3yo for John Oxx and Aga Khan.
Tartaria's half sister Maryellen's Spirit (by Invincible Spirit) has won 1 from 3 starts for Dermot Weld - a mile maiden as a 2yo beating Curtain Call. Tataria's sire as you will be aware is champion sprinter Oasis Dream - so the speed is on the sire's side and the middle distance blood is on the distaff side ; so I would expect tartaria to stay 7 furlongs as a 2.yo - possibly even the mile.

This colt has a host of big race entries late season and looks to have been given time to come in to himself. The yard has also been in the winners enclosure with a youngster or two recently. I await his debut with great interest.

This colt has been showing up well in some recent work and should be seen out soon, possibly in a decent Newmarket maiden. Though he'll probably come on for his initial outing, he is reported to be regarded as a horse of classic potential for next season and could be a smart end of season sort over a mile this year.

Well, today sees the first youngster represent this list and to be honest, I couldn't have picked a more liklier winner if I had tried! Been working exceptionally well at home and would advise to take an early price as it could collapse very quickly! O'Brien has won this race in the past with the likes of Holy Roman Emperor and Ivan Devisovich.

SEA OF MARMARA - 4th June 2008 - 18.30 - Leopardstown - IRISH STALLION FARMS EUROPEAN BREEDERS FUND MAIDEN (2yo) ALERT by AIDENLDREBIN - 18th May 2008

He is a half brother to the very smart juvenile Wiseman's Ferry who raced for this yard at two and three before becoming a very smart US performer. Has plenty of good horses in his pedigree and though yard have been slow to come to hand in its juvenile department, this colt is said to be working the place down at Ballydoyle and could well be their big chance of a Coventry winner. Definitely one to catch first time out as he could be a bit special.

To say I am disappointed would probably be a slight understatement as Sea Of Marmara could only manage fourth. The baton is passed on to HRE tomorrow and lets hope he has better luck.

With Green Beret anon-runner, it again falls to yours truly to get this thread off to a winning start following the poor start on Wednesday with Sea Of Marmara.

After two fourth placings from my two choices, Sea Of Marmara and Gyr, all is not lost, but it wasn't the greatest of starts for the thread. I will not be around for the next couple of days, so will get Monday's runner up nice and early. He was withdrawn from his intended engagement on Thursday at Lingfield.
