NAP ARKLOW GER 4.15 Limerick @ 15/8
Came too win his race the last time out at Clonmel when came down at the last traveling like the winner.. Went off a well backed favorite that day and has a 6 pound pull today at the weights with the eventual winner Florries Boy even though Arklow Ger had the beating off him.. Davy Russel takes the mount today which is always an added bonus.. A 3 times winner over hurdles and a cosy 8 length winner on his chase debut and as i mentioned was unlucky not too be 2 from too 2 so clearly has taken too this jumping game.. Could do with better ground and the trip is ideal and is the one too beat.. Main danger should come from Spes Ultima with Paul Carberry on board..
NB KING OF ROME 4.05 Hamburg
Johnny Murtaghs pick for the Derby so Ballydoyle obviously have seen something in this son off Montjeu, so bred too win a Derby or two.. Alot has been said about how well Top Lock did too finish 3rd too Campanoligist at Royal Ascot but lets not forget he started 40/1 that day and with no one really wanting too take up the running it turned into a messy race and alot off horses ended up under performing.. I think its safe too say Top Lock ran above itself.. King of Rome who at Lingfield in a Derby trial ran green and went wide on the turn and still motored down the straight too finish a close second too Allesandro Volta his stablemate but more importantly having suffered all those problems finished ahead off Frankie and Campanoligist.. Johnny Murtagh gone for the ride says it all..

2:20 Ayr
EW Bonne @ 5.5
Michael Bell has had some good winners yesterday and I feel this handicap debutant could run well today. Showed some ability in maidens and gets in off a winnable mark. Being by Namid, she should appreciate the softer going over the fast polytrack that she has only raced on so far
2:40 Market Rasen
Russian Flag (NB) @ 2.25
ran really well after a break and this looks easier. AP will need to esnure he doesnt pull too hard like he did last time, but there isnt much in the race to challenge him in my opinion
3:00 Brighton
EW Millfield @ 5
Stoute has good record at Brighton and Albaraari will find this much easier than recent assignments. However, a tricky maiden at Brighton in blinkers isnt my idea of a good bet and Millfield can enhance his good course record
3:50 Ayr
EW Forrest Flyer @ 5
Will appreciate the return to Ayr and hopefully the ground will stay on the good/easy side which will suit him perfectly.
4:30 Brighton
Prince Valentine (NAP) @ 4
is best suited to this course and is weighted to win again. Napoletano will be tough to crack and will have a saver on him, but Gary Moore is a master at exploiting good handicap marks and this course specialist could be adding to it today
5:10 Market Rasen
EW Frascati Park @ 5
Swinbank has had a few reverses in recent days and Frascati Park comes from a stable that does really well with its bumper horses. Price kept rising, which is usually a good sign and a capable claimer takes some weight off _________________ DONT LET YOUR FAVOURITES FLIP-FLOP!

morning all...long time no bet but will be breaking out the yoyo wedge for this one today...
FRENCH ACCORDION (no odds found)
much improved chaser last term on top of the ground, last time over hurdles he ran to a mark of 117 in a handicap but his best mark was 129(rpr),since then has improved for fences and is rated 143 in that sphere now so if he runs anywhere near that mark today he shouldnt be far away, had a run on the flat recently to blow away the cobwebs and should strip fitter for that today, going right handed is not favoured but i'll take a chance that he can overcome that today and pick up a nice prize for connections today.
paul nolan does have the fav in the next race as well so i may double up if the main selection goes in.
and agree with martinallen with regards to russian flag(came to win the race lto but blew up on the long home straight, should improve for that run today)
good luck everyone today. _________________ "proper words in proper places, make the true defination of style" jonathan swift

AYR 2.20... MISS SUNSHINE (NAP) @ 8/1
Miss Sunshine is the NAP today as anyone seeing her run last time out at Doncaster, she was a winner denied.
Today she returns 5lb lower for that unlucky defeat in this lesser grade! No disrespect to previous Jockey's, but Adrian Nicholls takes over in the saddle and can give a bit more strength and assistance when it matters.
The horse that beat her that day (Averoo) has since only just been denied carrying top weight and a 6lb penalty.
The 2nd form that race, Pretty Bonnie, then went on to beat a decent field of all aged fillies H/cappers in a race at warwick by over 2 lengths confirming the run was no fluke.
Big Slick had previously beaten the selection 4 runs back at Musselburgh but now meets her on 11.lb worse terms.
With the exception of Red Skipper, 2nd to Paint Stripper, when winning here on heavy, most the others have to prove themselves on this going.
Andrasta, 5th in that Ayr heavy ground event, now has over 14lb pull with those two, and having been close to Miss Sunshine in an apprentice contest, could again be competitive, having Franny Norton in the plate....
Switched to far side at the off Never got into it!

Limerick 3:15. Sanglote (NAP)
Only had 4 runs never out of the 1st 3. Seems to like the softer ground. Irish gamble on this horse this morning, always have to take note. Ruby on top, has a great chance and worth a bet at around 2-1. |

SEATTLE SOUND 5.10 - 9/2 - MARKET RASEN - NAP
One of the best courses Trainer and Jockey combine in This National Hunt FLAT race. Jefferson and Lee brought a horse here for its debut a few months back in the same sort of race and it won at a decent price. Not a strong race and wont take much winning but going on the Trainer and Jockey.. SEATTLE SOUND is the one to be on. _________________ Money won is twice as sweet as money earned. |

MARKET RAISEN 3.10... ROSS COMM (E/W) @ 14/1 6th
Getting on a bit now but still thought to retain ability having been tried in better class events lately.
This trip should suit with the more rain coming down the better to bring his stamina into good use.
Karathena is another who will find the softening of the ground in her favour and having won 4 of her 5 races here obviously likes the place.
Ross Comm, having been running in chases off 19lb higher this year should appeciate running here off this mark of 99, and with George Strickland taking off another 10lb he could surprise a few today!
