2:30 Pontefract
Johnmanderville SP
i was impressed with his win last time, albeit in a weak affair, and is a massive horse who will just keep on improving.
2:45 Wolverhampton
EW Casablanca Minx SP
drops into a seller for the first time since March 2007 and her form since then has been pretty consistent. Some of David Evans runners have been coming back to form recently and her fast-fnishing 2nd last time out was a return to a decent effort. She is drawn well again today and this could be the boost she needs to win again
3:00 Pontefract
Syvilla SP
looked a surefire winner last time and with the Godolphin runner disappointing, this looks her chance to improve.
4:00 Pontefract
EW Guertino SP
3 year olds are running really well against their elders at the moment and Guertino looked a little unlucky last time out, after not getting the clearest of runs. Will need to get some luck again today from the coffin box, but if he does, he was doing his best work at the end of his last race and this stiff track should suit.
4:30 Pontefract
Heritage Coast (NAP) SP
is mroe unlucky than difficult and I think this will be her day. A second to Cape Colony the time before last on her reappearance is good in the context of this race and lost nothing when second to a decent handicapper last time. Back in maiden company now, she deserves her overdue success _________________ DONT LET YOUR FAVOURITES FLIP-FLOP!

| FAIR GALE (no odds found) ridden by Steve Drowne for Sylvester Kirk. This horse finished behind Palmerian of Richard Hannons who won on Saturday at Sandown and in front of Colorado Blue of Roger Charltons who also won on Saturday. Steve Drowne rides for Roger Charlton and this looks like a mini plan to me. I expect this to be backed. |

4.00 Pontefract: Just one bet for me today John Keats @4/1
with Ladbrokes ; 3 points win ( on a scale of 1 - 5 ) ; a consistant sort up against a moderate bunch in the main - should take a lot of beating. |

My Lay of the day today is Wolverhampton 4.45 Willie Ever.
Two to take this on today are A big sky brewing whose has won previously over C&D and Bentley who has done the same and was beaten by Willie Ever last time out but was over a mile and this horse prefers 7f.
Back of the day for me is Uttoxeter 7.20 Advancement, just can't see anything good enough to beat it.
Other Lay of the day is Southwell 8.10 To bubbles as i think the other horse in the race with a chance Crataegus will turn her over. |

FUNGIBLE 6.30 Roscommon @ 11/2
The favorite in this particular contest looks strong but the heavy ground likely to be a negative with that one and i expect this Laim Mcateer trained gelding too improve on last weeks display when beaten 3 lengths by his improving stablemate and must go well on that evidence tonight improving from the step up from 5 too 6 furlongs last time the 7 is likely too be a big plus this evening.. Pat Smullen is an interesting jockey booking and with the stables form a big run is expected this evening..
WILLIAM BUTLER 8.30 Uttoxeter @ 4/5
Comfortable winner at Market Raisen in a tough little handicap hurdle and im looking for him too repeat that performance under the mandatory 6 pound penalty.. 6 pound claimer on board should help offset the burden and was aboard on Sunday so no problems on that score.. Step down too 2 miles not necessarily a positive move but its ahead off these on official ratings so should be able too overcome that.. Best form has been over a little further.. Could do with a little cut in the ground as it tends too act better on softer ground.. Evan Williams is a trainer on form and that should be followed through the summer months..

2.15 City Diamond - Ran a little green on first start and didnt have a clear run but still managed to run a respectable race. Currently at 8/1 a nice price to take on the fav with. 10/1
2.30 Lisburn - Nice e/w option here at 25/1. has very fast speed ratings but not been running to well recently, may bounce back today, small stakes. 4th
2.45 Jerry Hamilton - M Johnston horses seem to be running a little better of late and this horse is one that has more potential than been showing recently. wouldnt take much against the rest of these to run a good race at a nice price 12/1

PONTEFRACT 4.00... INGLEBY ARCH (NAP) @ 10/1.......PICKERING E/W @ 16/1
Pickering has ran well both visits here in the last year, firstly when finishing 2nd last August at this trip, and latest on his penultimate run behind Mr Wolf when staying on best over 5fl, but wouldn't want any more rain, and if the ground stays as declared will be worth an E/W interest!
John Keats is at the top of his game and has won here off 4lb lower as a 2 Yr Old, and had High Curragh and Wyatt Earp behind at Doncaster with neither making inroads on him at the finish.
Guertino also had High Curragh in arrears his 1st run back in this country and has the highest R.P.Rating of these but will need luck for his late run from Stall 1..
Ingleby Arch has dropped 6lb since beaten 1 & 1/2 length here in April when hampered at the start when he had Steenberg(3 & 3/4 length) and High Curragh(4 length) behind him.
His latest run is working out well with Pawan beating a decent field of sprinters since, and Damika winning a Stakes race at Haydock in style on Saturday.
Mansii ran 2nd to Prohibit on his final run last season (who then went on to run off marks in the 90's) and has the assistance of Ryan Moore, but though he may need this run, the stable can get one ready 1st time up.
Gunfighter could prove the main threat having had the selection behind at Newcastle, but meets him on 6lb worse here and looks a risky proposition having refused to race latest when market favourite, so Ingleby Arch gets the NAP vote!

6.40 Southwell Iorek Byrnison I like the jockey booking here and feel this horse will be seen in better light in this race for that booking, the jockey for this stable is showing a 67pt profit to level stakes over the last five seasons. If this horse wasnt with a chance I feel a much lesser jockey or apprentice would have been booked. This horse was beaten along way out on his racing debut on turf,I was expecting to get a price of around 12's or 16's,Ladbrokes are showing 7's out to 10's now
