This is obviously the opposite of the other thread. Here, you will vote for who you feel is underpriced, overrated or just won't get up the famous Cheltenham hill.
Again, vote for your banker Lay of the meeting, preferably with a few lines as to why you think the said horse won't be winning. However, don't turn this into a discussion thread as the Cheltenham 2010 thread in place is the place for all of that. _________________ CLICK LINK FOR DARK HORSES TO FOLLOW 2010

| Mille Chief for me. I honestly don't think he's worthy of his current price and think it's atrocious value. He has looked decent so far but to take a price about a horse that hasn't come up against another strong contender (in my view) is crazy at this stage. |

KAUTO STAR
He is without doubt one of the top chasers even seen, but Denman showed in 2008 that he could be beaten, and beaten he was as 'the tank' galloped his rivals into submission. Last year, Denman's problems meant he wasn't able to show his best, paving the way for an intriguing rematch with the scores level at 1-1. Denman's victory in this season's Hennessy suggests 'the tank' is very much back and rolling, and if he comes through the AON unscatched this weekend, he could well reclaim his crown by once again galloping and jumping his rivals - Kauto Star included - into submission once again. _________________ CLICK LINK FOR DARK HORSES TO FOLLOW 2010

Kauto Star
Once again like in 2008 I think Denman will have the race to suit him and will upset kauto again. I think that the race will be between Denman and Imperial Commander |

Too easy to pick your banker Lay in the Gold Cup - if you think Denman will win then you'd just back him rather than laying Kauto and vice versa.
Mine would be - the bumper favourite whoever it is. Hugely competitive race every year where you can write off very few. Fav is normally poor value. _________________ National Hunt Beginners Guide |

Dunguib has many great attributes but I am convinced that his jumping will be found out at the festival. I am not surprised he is short but I'm not convinced he is any kind of value odds-on. _________________ Visit my each-way blog at: http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/forum/topic31_23328.html |

Dunguib I know it won on the bridle on Sunday but I feel that if it jumps anyway near as bad as it did that day then it will not win and may not even get placed.
I would love to see Dunguib at its best win by 10 lengths but I have my doubts. |

| Anyone who lays Dunguib is very very brave in my opinion. He wont fall, he will have the race run to suit ie fast and that is going to see a vastly improved jumping performance as he had the handbrake on at Leopardstown. You are looking at a nailed on certainty who will probably start as the hottest priced favorite in the history of the Supreme. The reasons for laying this after what this horse has shown are absolutely baffling and belie a naive understanding of the game. All you layers will have a dismal start to the festival backing against this one. Watch a true superstar annihilate the field come Cheltenham. You have been warned. |

Ridiculous. Of course he could fall. He could easily be brought down aswell in a big field like the Supreme.
I backed him last season a few times, this season I haven't bet for or against Dunguib all year but I still maintain if something gets him off the bridle he will be beaten. Of course the problem is finding something that gets him off the bridle. That may just happen in the Supreme though as they often go a lightning pace and he may not have the time to 'cruise' to victory.
Still no bet for me in that race at the moment and when I do (like to have a bet in every race at the festival) it will be to minimal stakes but I will be looking beyond Dunguib. He is a very likely winner but of course there is no such thing as a sure thing - that applies to Dunguib the same as it has to many other horses over the years. _________________ National Hunt Beginners Guide |

| With most of the horses that have shortened up their prices for Cheltenham after winning on soft/heavy ground around end of last year and the beginning of this year, there will be plenty of surprises if the ground is good come March |

| Another horse I cant see winning is Kauto Star, yes he won the King George in impressive fashion but it wasn't a great renewal. Denmans Hennessy victory was far more impressive - he was carrying an unbelievable weight against top class grade 1 horses. He has already thrashed Kauto when the 2 of them were fully fit and he will do so again. His high cruising speed and near perfect jumping will find Kauto out as it did in 2008. He simply wont be able to cope and I agree with the owners who said after his hennessy victory that he will win the Gold Cup " pulling a cart". Kauto Star is the peoples champion but sentimentality wont win races, he is unquestionably a brilliant animal and has served his owners and joe public magnificently through the years. Another reason was Ruby's reluctance to choose which horse he would ride for the Gold Cup. He wanted to make his decision after the Aon chase this Saturday but was understandably told by the owners that they wanted the choice deciding before then. He obviously went with Kauto but you cant help thinking that he might have jumped ship to Denman after the Aon. Of course he will have to prove his well being this Saturday and I think he will. AP McCoy will break the hearts of all you Kauto fans..as I said sentimentality doesnt win races. |
