Yeah at the moment tho there is too much excitement. People are running before they can walk. I'm waiting till it all dies down a bit before contributing some more. I can't keep up with it at the mo. Laughing

Funny is'nt it K.K, people seriously asking can we take over big clubs, will we get money if we sell the club for millions in the future, Executive Box for current members !!!!

I don't know how many of you have heard the news today, but the MyFootballClub team have as good as bought Ebbsfleet United.

not too sure about this, if they really get involved in team selection, transfers etc it could go horribly wrong. I dn't think i'd be happy if it was my team.

How many of these part owners will be going to the games, how many will see the games on telly at all and how many know the conference well enough to know what kind of expectations they should be having about players etc.

What happens if people don't bother renewing subscription? the website owns the 51% of the club but they wouldn't be creating any revenue and the board and fans would not be happy.

The idea is nice and it's good that by a group of people clubbing together they have been able to help support a small club but i'm just not too sure about the practicalities.

I must admit it is a concern for members, but there are bonuses with all of this.
I'm sure there are a lot of people who have signed up who live in the UK and support a Premiership club, this will give them a chance to follow a lowe league club, and also with members all over the country there will be a lot of members who will probably turn up to watch their away games. Let's not forget that teams in the Conference also pick up quite a bit of revenue from Setanta who have the rights to their matches, and I'm sure that there will be a couple of Ebbsfleet matches screened before the end of the season. I'm sure there are a large group of people who may be interested. When the information becomes more public, I'm pretty sure a lot more new members will join in on the scheme.
Plus there are probably people out there who saw a certain episode of Dream Team a couple of years back where supporters thought they had bought the club it all turned out to be a big scam by the mail sorter, but when they realise it is hopefully a genuine scheme then they will be encouraged to join...
I like the idea of people signing up and contributing to the team's transfer funds. I am however slightly weary like yourself fairfranco that this whole plan will look good for a couple of years and then go terribly wrong as the novelty wears off.

Me too. But what a problem I have.

My local team is Dartford FC. It is going to be like asking an Arsenal supporter to support Tottenham or vice versa.
