Betking - the abusive language from Mascherano after his first booking was directed at the player he fouled - not the referee.

How do you come to that conclusion? Mascherano fouled the player, got booked, and walked off saying "F off, F off, F off". Now to me, thats only directed at the referee, I dont see how it can be directed at the player he fouled, that makes no sense Confused

And Torres' yellow, he was mouthing off and seemed to be complaining about the ref not booking United players. As for what exactly was said, I dont know.

Mascherano is well known for his quick temper and was lucky not to get sent off the other week when he got Aliadiere sent off. He was non-stop in the refs ear all the time he was on the pitch yesterday and deserves all he got. For me it's OK if the odd swear word is said in the heat of the moment but the way he conducted himself was nothing short of disgraceful.

Now we need the refs to be consistant with this and caution others if they overstep the mark. It's time to clean up this side of the game.
