Tonight is my final chance to get ready for the 2.5 k swim tomorrow evening.
Realy looking forward to it and hoping i can raise just a little bit more for a very good chairty.

This is the link to my persoanl page with swimathon where people can donate online. Ive had a couple more offline sponsor's and the target is nealry meet although you can never raise to much on these type of things.
The swimathon starts all over the country today although my swim is 5-45 tomorrow evening.
Please if you can just give £2 it all will add up in the end.
A possible idea is to have a bet on a horse you fancy and if it wins donate 10% to the marie caire cancer care swimathon.
Any help will be great
thanks in advance

oohhh....gambling with charity...
if my charity horse loses i'll be chasing you down for the cash!!!
amazing how much effort i've got to put in to donate £2!
I'll tell you what, I'll donate £2 if you donate 16 times that amount (40k /2.5k) if I get my place in the London marathon.
I won't be finding out till October I don't think, you'll have plenty of time to win £32 in that time! |

I applied for this years but didn't get in, also applied for charity place but failed with that as well. I'll definately go for a charity place again if I don't get in again this time though.
I may be doing Jersey marathon this year which is my most local one (i live next door in Guernsey). it's pretty tough I think but hopefully giving me something to aim for will keep me motivated with my training, I generally have a bit too much slack time in between some good training! |

yeah its great having a target day and something to train for.
I do a lot of wrestling but have quite a bit of off time normaly sundays but when training for something like this you dont seem to get as tempted by the bad things to a training lifestyle.
Ive heard the newcastle half marathon is meant to be a good one. Might be a bit far for you though. Although could just be a plane ride away. newcastle also voted best night out in england so could be made into a very good weekend if you wanted it to.
Just found out theres a bike one around birmingham in the summer so might try my hand in that one before i jump onto the running side of things.
Got to be quick with the london one. All places for next year went by 10 o clock. 80,000 places aswell.
ill stick to half's for now and many other chairty events hard but not too death hard lol _________________ OLBG'S RESIDENT DART PLAYER

I applied for London the day it came up. First year with only online applications, probably turned it into a glastonbury stile frenzy!
Newcastle is a long way away for me, closes flight is Manchester or Scotland.
i'm doing the local half marathon in June, aiming for something under 1 hr 30 but i've got to Lay off the heavy weekends so that i'm not starting from scratch all the time!
good luck with your swimarathon! |
