Well, i was cery happy to recieve my tickets today for the cup final. (pompey fan as you know)

I bought them from a mate who has a debenture in club wembley, so they were a bit expensive, but never mind, wouldnt miss it for the world.

There was just the one thing i forgot to check and that was which block they were in,

Imagine my delight to find out i am at the Cardiff end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not in with Cardiff fans of course, in the corporate bit, but nonetheless, i shall have to sit for 90 minutes watching our fans having a wonderful time amongst 35,000 other Pompey fans whilst i'll be stuck at the wrong end.

What do you think i should do?

M o B,

Firstly see a psychiatrist for being a Pompey fan. Laughing Laughing Laughing
Just kidding.

Ask whoever you got the tickets from if you change them, but I guess that that is unlikely.

Log on the clubwebsites and have a look on their forums to see if anyone has the opposite problems and wishes to exchange tickets. How you would go about that securely I dunno. i.e you dont want to send your tickets off and them have some scally laughing because they your tickets and only posted you a thank you card in return.

Or you could just ask the police if you can borrow some riot gear and cheer on Pompey if they score.

I am sure will get a more sensible answer from a more sensible idiot than me.

Best of luck whatever happens.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to see you club play in a major cup final at Wembley. Hmmm..........

You'd be an idiot not to go.

Yes I agree - you may never again get the chance to see them play in an FA Cup final

If it were me Id sell those tickets on eBay (if you cant just return to your mate) and splash out on some better ones. May cost you way over the odds but its a one of a kind type of day.

Its opportunities like this that people work so hard for.

I remember 12 years ago spending what was a fortune for me on Euro96 tickets for the same sort of reason. Saw all England games from seats on the half way line and enjoyed the amazing atmosphere. The memorys last a lifetime - it was money well spent.

Theres no question about me going, thats a no brainer, I would liek to swap them perhaps for cheaper Pompey end tickets, but its a matter of trusting isnt it.

Er.... BTW, whats all this once in a lifetime opportunity stuff Cheeky

MoB,

Just going off the stats, its 69 yrs since Pompey won the FA Cup, so if they win it this year you will have to wait another 69 yrs until they win it again.

Either that or AntOLBG is a psychic doctor who knows something I dont about your lifespan.

Good Luck for your team. I may be a naysayer but I mean no insult.

p.s. My money would be on Pompey -1.75 AH

I've got my ticket for the final mate! Sorry you can't be with us with the real fans! Tell you what though, will be fuming if we lost the English cup to a Welsh side. I fancy a 2-0, optimistic giving our only cup result seems to be 1-0! No way you would miss it though MoB, wherever you'rre sitting! Yep 2-0, fancy Kranjcar and Baros - for his first goal good style!!!
