Flash lightning in the Merseyside area.

For the past hour (at least) there's been approxiamately one flash of lightning per minute.

Now, I don't now if there's an event on at the docks in Liverpool but I would think that the use of fireworks is restricted until midnight.

Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

I don't understand why it's happening, there's no rain or anything....
