The Lincoln Handicap Can Go To Escape Route
|
21/03/08
We now know the draw and have the final declarations. With the bias not conclusive backing horses drawn from low middle and high draws may be the way to go. The following horses are of interest.
Rio Riva (5) 9/1 SkyBet
Smokey Oakey (12) 9/1 Paddy Power
Azarole (18) 50/1 William Hill

Well the flat is back with the traditional curtain raiser at Doncaster The Lincoln. A maximum field of 22 are going to post which means many fancied horses will not line up. The draw plays a part but the debate about which is the best side is often split, however low drawn runners seem to be more favoured.
The favourite is the Barry Hills trained Zaahid at 6/1 with many firms including Paddy Power and Coral. If this horse gets in the race the bookmakers will be running scared as their ante post book consists of large bets on this animal.
The race though is always a competitive cavalry charge and many of the top trainers will need luck in running with their entries. We like the look of the following horses, Yeamans Holt 12/1 with SkyBet and Escape Route 16/1 with Stan James. Richard Hannon also has interesting entries including Plum Pudding 16/1 with William Hill and Vitznau 16/1 with VC Bet.
Advised: Escape Route each way at 16/1 with BetterBet and Stan James at time of writing.
