2010 Oscars Betting Odds Have Avatar, Kathryn Bigelow And Jeff Bridges As Favourites
Friday 05 February 2010 at 10:53
2010 Oscars Betting Odds currently have odds on favourites in categories such as Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film, although picking the Oscars 2010 winners might not be as clear cut as it initially seems.
Two Horse Race For Both Best Picture And Best Director
The Best Picture and Best Director categories are often two of the most talked about Oscars nominations each year and in 2010 they are being dominated by two films, James Cameron’s Avatar and Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker. Avatar is expected to edge the Best Picture, you can get 8/13 with Bet365, SkyBet and Ladbrokes that it wins the Best picture whilst The Hurt Locker is 6/4 with Blue Square and William Hill. It is the other way round in the Best Director Betting Odds, Kathryn Bigelow is favourite at 8/13 with William Hill whilst James Cameron is 13/8 with Bet365, who offer up to £200 in free bets to new customers. It looks a two horse race in both categories with Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds next best in both, it is 22/1 with Bet365 for Best Picture and 25/1 with Paddy Power for Best Director.
Best Actor And Best Actress Generating Plenty Of Interest
Many eyes will also be on the Best Actor and Best Actress categories and Jeff Bridges is the favourite to win Best Actor for his role in Crazy Heart, having already win the Best Actor award at the Golden Globes. He can be backed at just 1/4 with Blue Square, well ahead of second favourite George Clooney who is 9/2 with SkyBet. An interesting battle is developing in the Best Actress category, Sandra Bullock is the current favourite at 8/11 with Stan James but she is not far ahead of fellow nominee Meryl Streep who is rated at 7/4 with Bet365.
