Champions League Draw Means Jose Mourinho Faces Chelsea And David Beckham Faces Man Utd
Friday 18 December 2009 at 11:32
The Champions League Draw for the knockout phase has been made and there are some very interesting match ups. The newspapers will have a field day with David Beckham set to return to Old Trafford for AC Milan and Inter Milan’s Jose Mourinho taking on his old club Chelsea.
Interesting Draw But Only Arsenal Get Easier Opposition
As a result of drawing the two Italian sides Chelsea and Manchester United have both drifted in the Champions League Betting Odds, Chelsea are now 5/1 with SkyBet whilst Man Utd are out to 8/1 with SkyBet. Both ties are very winnable but there were certainly easier teams to be drawn against. Arsenal remain unchanged at 9/1 with VC Bet having been given a fairly easy draw against FC Porto.
Favourable Draws For Both Barcelona And Real Madrid
Many eyes were on who Barcelona and Real Madrid would be drawn against and Barcelona have shortened in the Champions League Odds having drawn Stuttgart, they are now 7/2 with Paddy Power and shorter elsewhere. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid face a trip to France to take on Lyon and they are now 11/2 with Paddy Power and William Hill to win the Champions League.
