X Factor 2009 Betting Odds Have Danyl Johnson As Early Favourite
Monday 24 August 2009 at 15:06
X Factor 2009 Betting Odds already have a strong favourite after just one televised show and it is Danyl Johnson who is the strong early favourite at this stage.
Danyl Johnson The Early Front Runner
Danyl Johnson was the last performer to be shown on Saturday and Simon Cowell described his performance as the best audition he had ever seen. That is some compliment so it is no surprise he is not only the favourite to win, but a very strong favourite at that. Danyl Johnson can currently be backed at 5/2 with Paddy Power which looks a great price considering several bookies have cut their prices on him this morning.
Stacey Soloman And Joe McElderry Impress On First Show
Two other acts who impressed on Saturday were Stacey Soloman and Joe McElderry. Both seem to have fair chances of at least reaching the live shows, Stacey Soloman in particular after she surprised the judges who weren’t expecting much from her. She is now a 14/1 shot with Bet365 and Paddy Power whilst McElderry is a 16/1 chance with Bet365 and Betfred.
Grimes Twins Through Despite Cowell Protest
One act who caused a stir on Saturday were cocky twins John and Edward Grimes. Simon Cowell hated them but the other three judges put the pair through. They are unlikely to make it past boot camp though if you believe the X Factor betting odds, you can get 100/1 with Paddy Power and SkyBet to win the contest.
