Tour De France Odds Have Alberto Contador As Certain Winner But You Can Still Bet On Who Finishes Second
Thursday 23 July 2009 at 11:26
Alberto Contador now looks a certainty to win the Tour de France and the latest betting odds confirm that so the bookies have now started to take bets on who will finish second to Contador.
Contador An Almost Certainty
Alberto Contador, currently sporting the leader’s Yellow Jersey, is just 1/50 with Ladbrokes and William Hill to win his second Tour de France, having already won the race in 2007. Next best in the outright betting is Andy Schleck, he is 20/1 with Blue Square whilst Louis Armstrong is 33/1 with William Hill and Ladbrokes and Brit rider Bradley Wiggins is 66/1 with Blue Square and William Hill.
Betting Without Contador Will Now Be popular
As the outright betting is no longer very competitive several bookies now bet without Contador. Andy Schleck is the favourite in that market and can be backed at just 4/7 with Blue Square. Lance Armstrong is next best at 2/1 with Ladbrokes, Andreas Kloden is 12/1 with Blue Square and Bradley Wiggins is 16/1 with Blue Square.
Top Three Finish Betting
You can also bet on riders to finish in the top three with Blue Square, Alberto is obviously very short in the betting at 1/200 with Blue Square. Andy Schleck is reasonably priced at 4/7 with Blue Square, as is Lance Armstrong who is 8/11 with Blue Square. For more Tour de France bets click on any of the bookie links above.
