Chelsea Bidding For Kaka But No Change In Premiership Betting Odds

Chelsea have reportedly made an ‘astronomical’ bid for AC Milan midfielder Kaka. Chelsea were keen to deny AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani’s claims that Chelsea were in once again for their most coveted player.
Chelsea Could Get Their Man
The Blues have been linked with Kaka for over a year but now that they have a Brazilian manager, Luis Felipe Scolari, the chances of Kaka swapping the San Siro for Stamford Bridge seem to be more likely. Chelsea are currently 2/1 to win the Premiership with Bet365 and Sportingbet and are 15/2 with Blue Square to win the Champions League. The signing of Kaka would surely see these odds shorten dramatically.
United To Keep Ronaldo
Manchester United are favourites to win both the Premiership (5/4 with Bet365 and Paddy Power) and the Champions League (13/2 with Paddy Power) and there chances may depend on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future. The Portuguese winger today underwent surgery in Amsterdam on an ankle injury as speculation on a move to Real Madrid cooled.
Liverpool Preparing For Spending Spree
Liverpool look to be freeing up cash for signings of Gareth Barry and Robbie Keane by selling Peter Crouch to Portsmouth. Liverpool are 8/1 with VC Bet to win the Premiership and 14/1 with Bet365 in the Champions League betting odds.
Portsmouth Odds
Portsmouth’s wheeling and dealing seems to be fairly quiet this summer by Harry Redknapp’s standards and he is sure to have a few more signings up his sleeve. Pompey are 10/1 with Ladbrokes to win the Premiership without the ‘big four’ and they are 25/1 with SkyBet to retain the FA Cup.
