Tottenham Aim To Maintain Winning Ways
Friday 21 September 2007 at 11:48 Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping they can take the confidence of their 6-1 drubbing of Famagusta in the UEFA Cup into their away game with Bolton this Sunday.
Tottenham have been under pressure after five loses and a draw in the Premiership has left them in 17th position and will be looking to make a point against bottom of the table Bolton.
Spurs are currently 11/8 favourites to win the match with Skybet, with the draw priced at 11/5 and a Bolton win at 13/8.
For their part Bolton will be fighting for points to lift them above Derby after suffering their worst ever start to a Premiership season.
Interestingly Bolton also have the worst record for letting in goals in the first 22 minutes of the match (four goals so far this season) while Spurs are the Premiership's deadliest team in this period (five goals), SkyBet are offering odds of 5/6 that a goal comes in the first 29 minutes and 3/1 that a goal is scored between 16 and 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, Stan James is offering odds of 7/4 that two or more goals will come in the first half.
Nicolas Anelka is the Premiership's top goal scorer and is priced at 6/1 with Blue Square to score the first goal and 6/4 to be on target at any point in the game.
Though Spurs might be favourites the Reebok is not a happy ground for them having never won at the stadium, drawing their first two matches there 1-1, and losing all of the last five.
