Brook Is Early Strictly Come Dancing Favourite
Tuesday 25 September 2007 at 16:18 Actress and model Kelly Brook is the early favourite to waltz away with the series title of Strictly Come Dancing champion.
Dancing with Brendan Cole, Brook is currently priced at 4/1 with Ladbrokes.
Matt D'Angelo, aka cheeky Deano Wicks in Eastenders, is taking his eyes off Chelsea for a while to step the light fantastic with Flavia Cacace and is second favourite at 6/1.
Former England footballer John Barnes used to make a living with his feet but it remains to be seen whether he can make the transition from controlling the midfield to controlling his feisty dancing partner Nicole Cutler. The big man's priced at a respectable 7/1.
Adding spice to this series will be the rivalry between the Logans - TV presenter Gabby and her former rugby paying husband Kenny. This rivalry will be increased by the fact they have been teamed up with another married couple, the dancers James and Ola Jordan.
Gabby is currently better backed at 8/1, with punters perhaps unsure of Kenny's ability to move around the dance floor in quite the same way he powered down the rugby pitch - he's priced at 10/1.
Other contestants include former Mis-Teeq member Alesha Dixon (7/1), wife of Rod Stewart Penny Lancaster-Stewart (14/1), Blue Peter's Gethin Jones (7/1) and former world snooker champion Willie Thorn (16/1).
The new series begins on October 6th on BBC One.
