Charlton Prepare For Giant Killers Coventry
Thursday 27 September 2007 at 14:31 Charlton's trip to Coventry this weekend will be an important match in their campaign to rejoin the Premiership , but Coventry, high from their 2-0 Old Trafford defeat of Manchester United in the Carling Cup, will be a difficult team to break down.
Coventry were buzzing when Michael 'mosquito' Mifsud put the bite into the Sky Blues' victory over Man United, scoring both goals.
In the previous four meetings of the clubs draws have been the outcome in three games and a Coventry win in one.
Coventry are currently priced at 11/8 with Ladbrokes to take all three points while a Charlton win is priced at 8/5. A draw, the most likely outcome on previous performances, is priced at 11/5.
The last time the teams met it was also at the Ricoh Arena and that game ended 2-2, and a repeat of that scoreline is priced at 14/1.
The match will also be of special interest to Coventry manager Iain Dowie as he welcomes his former employers and is charged with masterminding a strategy to defeat them.
