Scotland To Miss Key Players For Georgia Match
Tuesday 16 October 2007 at 16:12 Scotland manager Alex McLeish says he wants to field as settled a side as he can for Wednesday's match in Georgia, but his hand is being forced by injuries to Scott Brown, Lee McCulloch, Paul Hartley, Gary Caldwell and Alan Hutton.
"We don't want to make too many changes and don't like to disrupt the momentum of an entire team," said McLeish.
Scotland are favourites to win the match in Tbilisi, priced at 7/10 with Centerbet.
However, Georgia are sure to put up stiff opposition and make things as hard as possible for the group leaders and are currently priced at 17/4, with the draw at 5/2.
Scotland will be hoping James McFadden will be able to pull off another wonder goal and the striker is currently priced at 4/1 to score first with Ladbrokes, 11/8 to score at any time and 25/1 to score a hat-trick.
For the hosts, Georgi Makaridze, who is just 17, is set to make his competitive international debut in goal and is priced at 10/3 to keep a clean sheet.
