Last Tango For Garraway
Tuesday 20 November 2007 at 12:40 Kate Garraway has finally been booted off celebrity talent show Strictly Come Dancing after a series of poor performances.
Despite receiving consistently low scores from the judges Kate managed to survive the public vote but failed to win the hearts and minds of voters on Saturday (November 17th)
Her exit has now upped the pressure on Kenny Logan, with the rugby giant's odds of becoming the next victim of the axe shortened to 11/8 with Bet365.
The 38-year-old was quick to praise her partner Anton du Beke and the public for helping her last for seven weeks in the contest.
She said: "I've had the time of my life on Strictly Come Dancing. I want to thank Anton, for being such a wonderful 'dance-husband' but most of all the people at home who every week gave me a chance.
"I hope I repaid their good faith by at least being entertaining even if it often was for all the wrong reasons!
"The time has come, though, for the competition to be about real dancers so I'm happy to bow out, sit back and enjoy the rest of the show," she added.
Alesha Dixon remains the favourite to win the contest at 4/7 with Stan James and Sporting Bet.
