Kauto Star Poised For Betfair Chase
Wednesday 21 November 2007 at 09:44  Racehorse Kauto Star heads the betting in an impressive field competing for this Saturday's (November 24th) Betfair Chase.
The impressive equine is the strong favourite at 5/6 with Coral and Paddy Power, but will have to overcome the challenge of My Way de Solzen, priced at 11/4 with Boyle Sports and Exotic Dancer a 7/1 shot with Blue Square.
And horseracing experts are anticipating a close encounter, with Keiran Packman of Timeform claiming that it could be a classic race.
He said: "The field at this stage is potentially fascinating and, if all the principals stand their ground, it would be at least on a par with recent Cheltenham Gold Cups."
And, on the form of the frontrunner, Kauto Star, he continued: "Kauto Star ran close to his best at Aintree on his reappearance, despite failing to go with his usual fluency from approaching halfway. Simply put, he sets an outstanding standard for the remainder to aim at."
Meanwhile, Too Forward is a huge outsider to claim anything from the race, priced at 100/1 with Stan James and William Hill.
