Barnes Bows Out Of Strictly Come Dancing
Tuesday 27 November 2007 at 11:12  Ex-footballer John Barnes has finally been evicted from the Strictly Come Dancing stage after his fifth appearance in the 'dance-off'.
Barnes failed to see off actress Kelly Brook, and following the result Brook's chances of becoming the next evictee were slashed to 7/1 with Bet365 - Kenny Logan remains the favourite to receive the chop on Saturday (December 1st) with odds of 10/11 with SkyBet.
Every judge voted in favour of Brook as the competition was whittled down to its final six competitors.
And judge Bruno Tonioli maintained that the judges' decisions are becoming more difficult every week, but that Brook deserved her stay of execution.
He said: "It gets harder every week but I have to go for the best dancer who will give more in the future and that's Kelly and Brendan."
Commenting on the performance of Barnes, who performed the Samba, he added: "It was a murmur, it was casual, it didn't have the impact, the fun."
Meanwhile, Alesha Dixon remains the firm favourite to win the competition priced at 2/5 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power.
