Gemma Shown The Jungle Exit
Thursday 29 November 2007 at 08:48  Former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson became the seventh victim of the jungle axe as she bowed out of I'm a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here! last night (November 28th).
Atkinson was the pre-competition front runner but her odds soon took a tumble as Christopher Biggins and Janice Dickinson became public favourites.
Biggins is still the odds-on for victory at 2/5 on with Paddy Power and Stan James, while Dickinson is priced at 4/1 with William Hill and Blue Square.
Despite the disappointment of having to return home, Atkinson was upbeat and revealed she was keen to see her family.
She said: "I feel great, thank you everyone for getting me out! I was ready yesterday.
"I want to see my mum. Being away is fine, as long as you’ve got a phone."
She even claimed that her jungle stint had been a learning experience. "I learned to cook a few things from John and tried fish I haven't heard of and also, roughing it without hair and make up," she added.
Meanwhile, Cerys Matthews is the rank outsider to win the competition with odds of 22/1 with Blue Square.
