Ms Jackson Backing Her Boy For X Factor
Friday 14 December 2007 at 14:10 Wendy Jackson, mother of X Factor finalist Leon, has claimed that her son could beat overwhelming favourite Rhydian to claim the contest title on Saturday (December 15th).
Leon has been steadily improving throughout the competition and has seen his odds shortened to 9/2 with Ladbrokes to become the 2007 winner.
And his mum Wendy revealed that she would have a bottle of champagne on hand to toast her son regardless of the result.
She told the Daily Record: "Leon's story on X Factor has been like the tortoise and the hare.
"Rhydian was the one everyone said was ahead of the rest but Leon has caught up by being versatile and pushing himself each week.
"I haven't thought about what we'll do if he wins except I've got a bottle of champagne to take with me on Saturday night.
"Whatever happens, I'll be very proud."
Meanwhile, cheesy popsters Same Difference have also had the odds of winning the X Factor slashed to 13/2 with Bet Direct following their march to the final.
