Gethin Makes Shock Strictly Come Dancing Exit
Monday 17 December 2007 at 09:11  Television presenter Gethin Jones has become the latest celebrity to waltz out of Strictly Come Dancing after losing a dance-off with actor Matt D'Angelo.
The Welshman briefly became competition favourite last week after a string of fine performances but failed to make it to the final as the judges opted for Matt instead.
And after narrowly scraping through to next weekend's decider, EastEnders star Matt is rated as the underdog for the contest at 8/1 with Sky Bet, while fellow finalist Alesha Dixon is priced at evens.
But on Saturday (December 15th) Gethin had to say farewell and, despite appearing shocked at missing the final, took his defeat in good humour.
He said: "I've had an incredible adventure and now I have some great dance moves thanks to Camilla. My friends never expected me to get past week two."
Meanwhile, Gethin's dance partner, Camilla Dallerup, took the news less graciously, according to reports in the Sun.
The newspaper reported a source at the studio saying: "Camilla was livid. She really wanted to win. She threw a real tantrum. She was in tears and her makeup was a mess."
