Eboue To Miss Blackburn Tie
Tuesday 18 December 2007 at 14:07 Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Eboue is set to miss tonight's (December 18th) Carling Cup tie with Blackburn due to a knee injury.
The Ivorian damaged knee ligaments in a clash with Joe Cole in Sunday's (December 16th) bad-tempered Premier League match with Chelsea.
And with Eboue missing and the Gunners set to field a second-string team they are the 9/5 underdogs with Bet 365, while home side Blackburn are priced at 6/4 with Bet Direct.
Another absentee could be new signing Lassana Diarra, who, despite only joining the north London side in August, has expressed his desire to leave.
The French international told L'Equipe: "We're halfway through December, and I've decided: I want to leave Arsenal. The bottom line is the coach doesn't need me.
"They don't want me. I don't understand, because I've got more value in the French national team."
Meanwhile, Chelsea are the favourites to retain the Carling Cup they won by defeating Arsenal in last season's final. The Blues are priced at 3/1 with Ladbrokes.
