Larsson Excited By Celtic-Barcelona Clash
Wednesday 20 February 2008 at 15:38 Henrik Larsson has revealed his excitement ahead of Celtic's Champions League match-up with Barcelona tonight (February 20th).
The Swede, who played for both sides, claimed that the match was too close to call, but the bookies disagree, with Barcelona the odds-on 3/4 favourites with BetInternet.
And Larsson, who now plays for Helsingborg, claimed that he couldn't decide who he wanted to win the clash.
"When they told me the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, I just couldn't believe it," he said.
"For Celtic and Barcelona to meet again was such a surprise but it will be a nice match between two great teams for whom I have a lot of affection."
He added: "I spent seven wonderful years at Celtic Park, and two equally fantastic ones in Spain. They're both great football clubs with two of the best fanbases in the world.
"For these two clubs to face in the Champions League gives you an ideal of the level that they're at, which they both belong to. I daren't make any predictions, because the outcome depends on how the players do on the day."
Barcelona are 4/1 favourites with PartyBets to win this year's Champions League.
