Moyes Declares Admiration For Dunne
Monday 25 February 2008 at 16:36 Everton manager David Moyes has declared his admiration for Manchester City captain Richard Dunne.
Everton and Manchester City square off in the Premier League tonight (February 25th), with home side City slight 6/5 favourites, with Better, to win the game.
And, with both sides chasing a Champions League place, Moyes revealed that if he had been in charge when Dunne left Everton in 2000, things might have been different.
"He's been outstanding for Manchester City. I watched him against Manchester United a couple of weeks ago and he was fantastic," he said.
"Hopefully nowadays that sort of player wouldn't be allowed to leave Everton."
Moyes added: "It's taken him a little bit of time to mature and become the player he is but he's a good captain, a good leader and a very good player too."
Meanwhile, Everton are slight underdogs to win tonight's clash, rated at 9/5 BetInternet.
