Eduardo Horror Injury Hits Arsenal Premier League Odds
Tuesday 26 February 2008 at 09:13 Eduardo's shocking injury in Saturday's (February 23rd) Premier League clash with Birmingham has ruled him out for nine months - hitting Arsenal's title chances.
The Gunners are now rated at 11/8 with Paddy Power to win the Premier League but Manchester United are the 5/6 favourites with Ladbrokes.
Despite the nature of the injury, the Brazilian-born Croatian centre-forward has been tipped for a return by former Coventry player David Busst.
Busst, who suffered a sickening injury, which effectively ended his career, told the BBC: "If there's no complications, I'm sure he will be back playing again,"
"It wasn't the break that stopped me playing again but the infections I caught after that. I suffered a double compound fracture of the tibia and fibula and had 20 operations on my right leg, with ten operations in the first 12 days."
He added: "I'd like to reassure Eduardo and tell him not to let people compare his injury to mine because I did have to give up.
"It was the infection, muscle and tissue damage that stopped me from playing again."
Meanwhile, Chelsea are the third favourites to lift the Premier League crown, rated at 6/1 with Better.
