Hook Inclusion Improves Wales Six Nations Odds
Tuesday 11 March 2008 at 16:47 James Hook's inclusion for Wales's clash with France on Saturday (March 15th) has boosted the Dragon's chances of Six Nations glory.
Wales are rated as overwhelming 1/20 favourites, with BetDirect, to win the tournament, with a victory against the French sealing the Grand Slam.
And Wales coach Warren Gatland has revealed that Hook had been brought in to the side to offer something different.
"[We have] afforded ourselves the luxury of bringing in James Hook for the different qualities he will offer in this match, but we have pretty much said 'same again' to the boys that brought home the silverware on Saturday," he said.
"Stephen Jones will offer us the benefit of his vast experience from the bench and he is one of a number of players who can come on and change the game for us if necessary," Gatland added.
France, who need to win by more than 19 points to guarantee the title, are rated at 8/1 with Bet365 to win the Six Nations.
