Everton Facing Big Task Against Fiorentina
Wednesday 12 March 2008 at 09:44 Everton boss David Moyes has admitted that Everton face a "big task" in tonight's (March 12th) Uefa Cup encounter with Fiorentina.
The Toffees, who are rated as 17/20 odds-on favourites with CanBet to win the match, have to overcome a 2-0 deficit from the first-leg to claim a place in the next round of the competition.
Moyes, who was bitterly disappointed with his sides performance in the first match, is under no illusions of the size of the job his men are facing this evening at Goodison Park.
"I have never stopped thinking about possible scenarios since that first-leg game," he admitted.
"I did not sleep after the match but hopefully we can put into practice something that makes us play better against them in this match.
"It was a bit strange over there and a bit flat as we did not play as well as we can do. We have done well enough in the Uefa Cup to get to this stage, apart from one game in Italy," Moyes said.
"It means we now have a big task but one that can be overcome."
After their performance in the first leg, the odds of Everton lifting the Uefa Cup have drifted out to 16/1 with Stan James.
