Tottenham Comeback Could Shorten Uefa Cup Odds
Wednesday 12 March 2008 at 13:59 Tottenham Hotspur face PSV Eindhoven in tonight's (March 12th) Uefa Cup second-leg encounter, knowing that only a superb comeback can rescue their European campaign.
The north London side, who are rated at 9/5 with CanBet to win the match, lost the first leg 1-0 at White Hart Lane and will need an away day victory to reach the next round.
Despite the size of the task, Spurs skipper Ledley King, who returns to the side after a rest at the weekend, revealed that his team-mates were confident of a revival.
"We still believe we can turn it around," he said.
"They came to ours with a gameplan and carried it out perfectly from their point of view. We were disappointed we didn't play our normal game.
"But we're confident that we can score anywhere we go and we'll be taking that to Eindhoven."
Meanwhile, following their first leg defeat last week, Spurs are now priced at 12/1 to win the Uefa Cup with Stan James.
