Tottenham Fearing Chelsea Backlash In Premier League Encounter

Wednesday 19 March 2008 at 11:21

Tottenham v ChelseaTottenham Hotspur centre-back Jonathon Woodgate has claimed that title-chasing Chelsea will be out to avenge their Carling Cup final defeat in tonight's (March 19th) Premier League clash.

Chelsea may have suffered cup heartache last month but are the favourites to win this evening's game at White Hart Lane, rated at 11/10 with BetFred.

And Spurs new-boy Woodgate claimed that the in-form Blues would battle hard to secure all three points.

"Believe me, Chelsea will be going all out to win. It will be a harder game than the final - Chelsea will want to put that right," Woodgate said.

"They are going for the title, they've always been in the hunt and they have players hitting form at the right time," he added.

But, claiming that Spurs were still confident of causing an upset, he added: "We always fancy ourselves to beat anyone and this is no different."

Meanwhile, Didier Drogba is the favourite to open the scoring tonight, priced at 5/1 with Paddy Power.ADNFCR-1141-ID-18515960-ADNFCR
