Jarvis Backs Prince Forever For Good Lincoln Handicap Performance
Wednesday 19 March 2008 at 16:52 Michael Jarvis, trainer of racehorse Prince Forever, is confident his charge can perform well in Saturday's (March 19th) Lincoln Handicap despite his long absence.
The Prince is among the favourites to claim victory in the Handicap, priced at 8/1 with VC Bet, and Jarvis believes that his horse can live up to the billing and produce the goods in this weekend's big race.
"He had a leg problem last year which resulted in him having the rest of the season off," he told Sporting Life. "He's recovered from it, he's been on the go all winter and he appears to be quite forward.
"He should run prominently even though he has been off a long time. He is as fit as we can get him at home, a race will just put an edge on him."
Zaahid is currently the bookies choice to win the Lincoln Handicap, rated at 5/1 with Stan James.
