Manchester United Victory Improves Premier League Odds
Thursday 20 March 2008 at 09:12 A 2-0 victory against Bolton has sent Manchester United three points clear at the top of the Premier League and shortened their odds of winning the title.
The Red Devils are now 2/5 on with Ladbrokes to reclaim their crown after a convincing display at Old Trafford last night (March 19th).
But with the Premier League trophy looking likely to remain in the north-west, Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that the title is far from won.
"I think it's going to go to the wire. With eight games to go the team who plays with the most consistency now will win it," he said.
"We have a lead, it's not a significant lead but it's a lead nonetheless," Sir Alex added.
This Sunday (March 22nd), Manchester United face Liverpool and Chelsea play Arsenal in what could prove to be a decisive round of fixtures.
The Gunners will need to secure an important victory at Stamford Bridge if they are to improve their odds of 4/1 with BetFred.
